Aslan, the owner, was courteous and generous in greeting us. He gave us
a choice of the top floor rooms and offered to send one of his
assistants to help transfer our luggage from the previous hotel. With
his knowledge of the region and, given existing winter road conditions,
we took one of tours offered by the guesthouse and conducted by Aslan
himself. With some of the travel warnings for the south-east Turkey, his
presence made us feel secure. We had considered going alone but are

Zeynep Hanim Konagi was as good as Gaziantep. Did not quite know what to expect, but friendly atmosphere, though busy city was a happy surprise. It's set in the old streets . Very atmospheric . We booked the suite and it was a huge rustic room with a really Turkish feel . The balconies set around the internal courtyard were great . It felt very safe and the staff would do anything to help you . I forgot my shampoo and one of the staff went to the shop for me ! Fantastic value for money that's for sure

The owners were very gracious hosts. The food they prepared was the most memorable meal I had the entire trip! Jale's cooking was incredible! The hummus that she made was the best! I can't stop raving about the food!
The Konak was definitely interesting. It was nice to stay in a traditional house and actually get to interact with the owners. I really felt like we were welcomed as guests of the family and not just transient guests.

Ottima posizione per visitare il nemrut dagi. L'albergo somiglia molto ad un rifugio di montagna quindi con servizi essenziali. La cena consiste in piatti tipici locali preparati con i prodotti del luogo. I ragazzi che gestiscono l'hotel si fanno in quattro per soddisfare le esigenze della clientela.

I chose this guesthouse because of the beautiful flowers in the photos and the fact that it is connected to a women's cooperative. I couldn't have made a better choice. I was in Mardin to consider the possibility of pursuing dissertation research related to the local linguistic situation. The Narli was undergoing renovation so we were put in the Manici next door who owns both. A bit confusing when we arrived. Better views at the Manici. an incredible buffet with multiple bread options, homemade regional
aubergine dishes, fresh jams, cheeses, eggs, olives, fruit, etc.
