  The rooms at Tophane Aparts, are excellent and definitely above other hotels in the same price range. The staff were very accomodating, allowing us to check in early after a long flight from SA. Clean rooms with new furniture: beds for adults and a child, wardrobe, table, chairs, etc. Kitchen corner, frige, gas cooker, cups, plates, and utensils.The apartmants are in the old part of Istanbul, 20-25 min walk to Hagia Sophia. 5 min to the sea embankment, a fish market and fish restaurants. Frendly personnel fluent in English and Russian (special thanks to Yildiz!). Very well for family tourism.

  The view from top floor!!! The sea at one hand, the blue mosque the other. I had no idea that we were THIS close to the mosque, it was literally across the street. The view was just breathtaking, so surreal. The view is definitely incomparable. - Location - The hotel was very close to the Sultanahmet tourist area, with some gift shops, coffee shops and restaurants right next door. The night manager (I think his name was Usman) was a good guide point to various areas and activities. The hotel itself is rather small, just enough room to put your bags and walk to you bed, but it is what you pay for.
