The Gallipoli Houses - Foto
Cosa dice la gente
Gallipoli is a most important site for the ww1 allies, Turks and their
families. It is a very sad and poignant place, a place wher so many
young lives were lost, so much potential wasted and sacrificed and so
many families were left to grieve for their young men. Gallipoli Houses
is a wonderful jewel of a venue, tucked in a rural setting, offering
great food and informed, knowledgeable advice from Eric (the host) and
his very helpful staff. We highly recommend this venue. tutti gli commenti dei clienti »
We loved everything!
An amenable, knowledgeable, host who was more willing to share his knowledge to help us make the most of our trip.
Wonderful welcoming,helpful staff.
Restful, tranquil setting.
Situated in the depths of the outstanding countryside.
Large, very clean, modern tastefully decorated rooms.
Our room had a lovely patio area with access to a well kept garden and views over the village.
Delicious food.
Definitely the place to stay on Gallipoli.
* The rooms were excellent, spacious and well equipped.
* The hosts, Eric and Ozlem, were very warm, welcoming and go out of their way to make your stay pleasant.
* The breakfast is amazing, plenty of choice and all fresh produce.
* It is a quiet peace of heaven that you will rarely find these days.
* They offer a great 4-course dinner in their cozy dining room with fireplace.
Very beautiful land house. The rooms have a little terrace to the garden. They are very nice and clean, bathroom with rain forrest shower.
We took the four course dinner which was fantastic, same as the wine.
The owner gave excellent tips for exploring the Gallipoli memorials as well as for our onwards journey.
We wished we could have stayed longer.
Even if the accommodation hadn't been perfect I would have rated our stay excellent. Our purpose in going to Gallipoli was to visit the sites of significance to the Anzacs. Eric's incredible empathy, knowledge and generosity enabled us to experience this special place in exactly the way we needed to. Thank you so much.
What a friendly and knowledgeable guy Eric, the owner was. We arrived at 1230 and by 1330 he had organised us to be on a tour of battlefields. We only stayed for 1 day, and would not have been able to see all the sights and have insights into the Gallipoli campaign. We enjoyed a lovely set menu meal at the Accomodation.
The previous reviews say it all; absolutely fabulous! Spacious & clean rooms, friendly and very helpful staff, delicious fresh home cooked food and relaxing location in a small village amongst a peninsula full of history. Great base for exploring the area. Make sure you indulge in the dinner on offer; exceptional.
We spent 5 weeks in Turkey and I think the Gallipoli area was one of the most beautiful we visited. I wish we would have had more time at this hotel. It was a peaceful haven with a wonderful breakfast. They were very helpful with information about visiting the battlefields of the area.
Pretty much everything...
Everything is decorated with good taste, big rooms, fantastic view on the countryside, located in a small village far from mass tourism, dinner and breakfast were excellent, the hosts were welcoming and friendly (such as the staff). Beautiful garden as well.
This is a great base for exploring the battlefields. Even without the
historical importance the coast is a beautiful place to visit. The host
was very helpful lending us a book and battlefield map, which you really
need to explore properly.
Wow. This place far exceeded expectations. Great room with terrace and views over countryside.Amazing value for money. Don't think about staying anywhere else whilst in Gallipoli area. Book the evening meal; you won't be disappointed.
Superb location in a small village in the countryside.
Very pleasant, helpful staff and informative wner.
Large, attractive room with own patio outside.
Excellent home cooking for evening meals.
excellent value for money.
Great atmosphere, blended into the village setting. Staff pleasant and friendly. Eric, the owner, has a great knowledge of area and very willing to assist. Meals were great. Wonderful view from our terrace.
A special stay in a special place - it was very peaceful and the houses very comfortable, dinner and breakfast are home cooked and delicious. Made our tour of Gallipoli extra special !!.
Add the word "specialist" and "tasteful" to those above. Gallipoli Housed provided a historical base from which to absorb the atmosphere of the momentous events of 1915.
We were the only guests at the houses but the service, facilities and personal touches were excellent. Would recommend to anyone and hope to return ourselves.
Rooms were very spacious, clean and well maintained. Food was fantastic, as were the staff. Made the trip down to Gallipoli even more enjoyable.
Eric was awesome, Hamil was great-they took care of everything I needed, although I don't usually require to much.
The best place to use as a base for a visit to Gallipoli and enjoy a peaceful village atmosphere.
Excellent evening meal
Large and spacious room beautifully decorated
Sun terrace.
Very knowledgeable and friendly owner, spacious rooms and great breakfast.
everything, particularly the home cooked dinner.
Excellent service, well thought out, clean.
Everything.
There was nothing we did not like.
The bus ride back to Istanbul. The bus from Cannakale combined with the ferry into the heart of Istanbul is a FAR better option.
There was nothing we did not like about the Accomodation.
Not much, there was no tv but we didn't miss it one bit. We were too
busy planning what we would do the next day. In Ramadan the mosque wakes
everyone at 3 am to breakfast.
Leaving...next time will stay longer than 2 days !!!.
all good !.
Nothing.
Nothing - it was excellent.
