  Bamboo huts gorgeous. Basic but so clean and just what you need for being pretty much on the beach. Locals so friendly and a resounding feeling of being safe and looked after. Ruan Mai was great for the money and we were so impressed we came back and spent the last 4 nights here! At first I was surprised how basic it was (absolutely NOTHING in the cottage except the bed and the fan) but it was really all that I needed. It is so clean and beautiful, and right on the beach! Loved to just sit on the porch, listen to the waves and look around that paradise garden...will come back!!!!

  there is so much I liked! 1)free and very friendly pick up from the airport; 2)wonderful lush green garden with many different trees, next to an open field with grazing buffaloes; 3) accomodation was spotless and cleaned every day; 4) free water, complementary tea and coffee refilled daily; 5) very welcoming hosts, who were available for advice; C... cosa dice la gente » harly showed me around the area so I did not have to waste time finding my bearings; 6) I was able to borrow a bicycle and motorbike; 7)Location-very - Location was very interesting. In the jungle, near a small river. Charly is the friendliest host I met. Took me for a ride through the town. Brought me to the airport upon my departure. Made familiar to his friends - supplementary service providers at the beach. They all turned to be...good :-). Food, scooter rental, bar, beach, location. Kite surfers paradise. All that was great value for money. The town/beach itself is nothing like Patong or Rawai. Looong white sandy beach, quiet, not crowded

  What can I say... this place is simply amazing. Jens and his wife Bow really did a great job with their guesthouse. The apartments are spacious, always clean and a real eyecatcher. Moreover the outside pool is just a few steps away and you can almost consider it as a private pool because it has never been busy with other guests. Take a dip in the ... cosa dice la gente » pool at midnight?! No problem! Beside from the cool apartments one of the best thing about this place is its staff. Bow is a really friendly and care - I loved this Guesthouse. The rooms were beautiful (I stayed in a standard room one night and in the bungalow other few nights), with huge bathtubs, comfortable beds and a nice swimming pool just outside of the rooms. The Guesthouse's owners just couldn't be nicer; they gave me a lift from/to the airport and helped me in reaching the beach as well, and in general - they were very nice and helpful during my stay. The Guesthouse has a family-like atmosphere, which made my stay there very cozy. W
