  Right at the beach. Breakfast was good as well. It's a quiet place. The staff is very friendly and helpful. This is a big resort, filled with almost exclusively Swedish families who are obviously staying here for awhile.   We really enjoyed our stay at the Ancient Realm. Having stayed a few nights on a more developed beach farther north before our stay here, we really enjoyed the serenity that awaited at Ancient Realm. Although our previous place was directly on the beach, we still spent a good part of our days there on the motorbike exploring the island. The beach, which is one of the nicest - This resort lived up to all the reviews I read before booking. I can't thank the staff and managers, Dave and Glen enough for their friendly, caring attitude. They made us feel special and couldn't possibly do any more to make us feel more welcome. The resort was: Excellent value for money. A great location. Fantastic facilities.   The bungalows are fantastic and if you ask for it you can get one with sea views. This is a very quiet and relaxing place to stay by the beach, the bit right by the complex has a bit of rocks in there but you can get to a place without rocks in 2 minutes. Within Marina Lanta resort there is Marina restaurant, the couple who runs it is just amazing, and the food is really simple, cheap - We stayed in 6 different hotels in Thailand! This was by far the best. Booked for 1 night stayed for 5! Stunning Bungalows, with a hammock on the balcony near the Beach, I read a review sating it was to far from a nice beach which is crazy! Your on the beach front in Minutes. Yes you had the odd lizard in your room but its all part of the Charm and for the Price you cant really complain. The Manager was amazing! She was so helpful anything we needed she sorted it out instantly, I have never met

  Coco Lanta is a wonderful and relaxing resort. It is well situated on the northern part of Klong Khong Beach. There are several Mini Marts and a 7-Eleven in walking distance. Coco Lanta's Bar/Restaurant is excellent and there are many good eateries on the main road. Our favorite was Kwan's (great food in a family-like setting). G - Very new, nice and clean room/bungalow with a good bed. Loved the small terrace with hammock in front of the bungalow. The restaurant, where also breakfast is served, is just next to the sea (at least at high tide). Nice swimming pool. Overall the hotel is just beautiful. Good location at Khlong Kong beach with great restaurants and most creative beach bars (beautifully illuminated at night and you get to them by just walking along the beach starting from the hotel.
