I stayed with a friend at Via Hotel ShuangLian Loft Branch in October during my recent trip to Taipei to meet some of my friends. I have stayed at several hotels in Taipei with similar price ranges. This was my first time staying at a Via Hotel and we booked an Impressive room, which has a full sized as well as a half bed in the room. The hotel is located very close to both the ShuangLian and ZhongShan Elementary School Metro stations—about a 5-minute walk. This was convenient for me since I.

Loved the 24 hour snack bar beside the lobby that the hotel provides in replacement for the absence of a restaurant.(They do have continental breakfast anyway). The snack bar includes a selection of coffee, teas, soft drinks, biscuits, snacks, sweets, bread and even cup noodles. The rooms are comfortably sized, any necessary amenities can be found in the room and ever. The location was great because it was near the mrt station. (which station was close to taipei main station) I travel often and many times I enjoy staying at small boutique hotels and via loft hotel was one of my favorite boutique hotels I have stayed so far. Its a cozy hotel that has a very convinient snack bar and laundry room. Before my stay I read some of the reviews and it said that the rooms are small but for me the size of the room was not a problem. In fact, I liked the coziness of the . A non-discreet boutique hotel tucked within an old commercial building. However, this hotel is superb in location and service. The mrt station is only a short walk away. Very friendly and helpful staff. Though there is no dining facility within the hotel, there is readily accessible beeakfast shops within the vicinity. there is even a 7-11 just next door. Just cant get over the fact it was like a commerical building from the outside. The laundry area is always in use as it is free. And the dryer takes a long time to dry a load of clothes. In the end, I had to pay and wash the clothes opposite the hotel. Sound from next door room could be hear clearly. And the water temperature quite difficult to adjust. As the hotel was situated on the 2nd floor of a office building, the entrance was very run down.. No comment. Dryer not good, take too ling to dry the clothes. Hotel facilities and decor could be nicer. They failed to follow through the arrangements for airport pick up.
