  Excellent hotel from A-Z. As a frequent traveler i don't get overexcited easily, but this hotel really deserves the max points. If you have the chance, take the suite having two balconies with direct view of the Matterhorn - awesome and worth every single buck.   We were pleasantly surprised to stay at the Hotel Communal as our original hotel couldn't fulfill the reservation. We were warmly greeted by the owner and he made sure that the rooms fit our family's need. The restaurant attached to the hotel was fabulous -- a great place to relax after skiing in Champery.   It's very conveniently located for the Sunnegga/Rothorn funicular and Gornergrat train. The staff were very kind and helpful to my elderly parents.   The host Christoph Imboden is fantastic. He was very helpful during our stay and provided important information for maximizing our visit to the Zermatt area (seeing the Matterhorn, etc.).
