  We liked everything about it. Location was perfect. We were there for 3 nights for the Jazz Festival and La Rouvenaz is just a 5 minute walk to the center of the festival and across the street from the Lake (but off the main busy street). It was really - The service of the hotel very frienly and helpful especially manager and vietnam lady that she recomended about our question very clear and helpful. The peaple in Montreux was excellent than i expect.Only one thing that not complease that when i leave in the morning breakfast cannot open because the staff who incharge not coming then i wait until 7.20 am and checkout without breakfast [open 7.00 am]

  This very charming hotel close to the Chateau de Chillon [a definite must visit] just outside Montreux [the frequent 201 bus takes about 5 minutes to get to the centre so parking is not an issue during the festival] is old and gracious with gardens and a terrace from the spacious lounge with views of the lake. It was a spur of the moment trip so we had no guide books, and the owner lent us her Rick Steves. On our second morning they remembered the table where we'd sat the previous day and had special cups and a straw for our 15-month-old. Her crib was well above average for a travel cot, compared to where we've stayed before. The price was excellent compared to other hotels in the area.

  I adored the historical feeling to this hotel. I hope they never "upgrade" it because I want it to feel like this forever. It was very close to the train station and the view was astonishing. I thought the bathroom was just fine although some might call it small. If you want to have a view right over Lake Geneva, you can put up with a "small" bath... cosa dice la gente » room! Hey, it has a shower, sink and toilet. I loved it. - The location is the best ever- on the Grand Rue right near the ferry terminal and bus out the front. Short walk from the station to the lift which takes you almost to the hotel. Large alcove in our room with chairs and table to sit and watch the view. The manager gave us a cup of tea on our second day as we arrived back after exploring Montreux and surrounds.(beautiful place!)
