Quirky decor and design very interesting.The staff were excellent - helpful and friendly. Free Tram pass provided was brilliant and so easy to use and get around.Coffee machine, nuts and water were nice gestures.Breakfast good and served until 1pm- so ideal for travellers or just leisurely start to the day. -

I highly recommend staying at Amparo's, the hosts were really friendly and helpful providing good info on what to do and how to get around Basel. I was given a mobility/tram card to use during my stay in Basel which was really helpful.
There are only two rooms sharing one bathroom and I was lucky enough to have the whole apartment to myself for a couple of days. There is a full kitchen for meals and a great deck and garden to enjoy summer mornings/evenings making it feel more like a home away f

Good location; stayed for 2 nights to visit Christmas Market. Staff were
friendly and helpful. Close to key markets, museums, and room came with
public transport pass. We had two good meals at the restaurant and found
the breakfast typical of a good European hotel. I don't know where
the others ate. Excellent coffee served with warm milk.

This is a very clean and comfortable hotel with spacious rooms. It is about 20 minutes tram ride to Basel. For my liking the hotel bar could do with not closing at midnight. There is a good free Tea/Coffee making machine in the hotel lobby. I believe that this is a good hotel to stay at for both business and leisure, we would stay here again.
