  The position was fabulous. Right on the beach and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We asked for Ananda to get us fish and sea food and we had two amazing meals of jumbo prawns crab and para fish . The hotel is simple but with a lot of charm and atmosphere right at a beautiful beach not spoiled by tourism yet.   Beautiful setting, comfy and very clean. Pool just as clean. Lovely, friendly staff especially the manager Chandama who was delightful. Delicious breakfast - wish we'd stayed for dinner. Easy access to Hikkaduwa but much much nicer area. Not luxurious but lovely.

  The location was excellent. Calmer part of the beach. We stayed in a Deluxe ocean front room and had a beautiful view. Very friendly and helpful staff. 15 minute walk from the train station or a 150 lkr tuk- tuk ride. The buffet breakfasts were very impressive, western options as well as some Sri Lankan options. We had our first snorkeling experience and it was truly amazing what we saw, including sea turtles and hundreds of different fish species. Do not miss that!   Location is everything, Rita's fronts onto the best part of the beach and is close to the best surf break in Hikkaduwa. Very helpful staff and a pleasant environment to stay in. Excellent for the price. I have stayed in serveral hotels in Hikkaduwa and would stay at Rita's again. - The staff are very friendly and the location is excellent.   The breakfast was plentiful, with spacious rooms which are clean and tidy, the swimming pool is another plus point. High value for money and friendly owner's. It was a 2 minute walk from the road - Great location, away from the busy main road. Friendly helpful staff, and an awesome room.
