Hostal Yolanda - Foto
Cosa dice la gente
Location is excellent for both nightlife and sightseeing/museums, hardly had to use transportation. I was alone in the room with two beds for a little more than 30 euro! A lot of hangers in the wardrobe.
I thought it was clean, safe and friendly, with lots of bathrooms if your room isn't en suite! Great budget choice if you are out and about in Madrid and just want a convenient and safe place to sleep. tutti gli commenti dei clienti »
Also I arrived at 07:30 am instead of 12:00, as I should have, the
slightly slippy owner was kind enough to check me in, 4:30 hours early
no extra fees charged.
Hostal is in the city center and it is not so far from Sol. The staff was helpful. Room and bathroom was clean.
Several bathrooms. Good location near metro, 10-15 minutes walk from Atocha railway station and Prado museum.
I don't think any other Hostel can beat Yolanda when it comes to price-performace ratio in Madrid.
It is good hostal , I was there for 4 days but very good area easy get every where !!!.
Very solid considering the price.
Wi-Fi works good.
A goodd place.
Location.
The hostal is near central street, called calle de Atocha (metro station Anton Martin), that is fine, just 5 min. walking to plaza del Sol. Room was small and clean, staff were friendly. I had my privait keys so I could came any time in the night not desturbing receptionist.
excellent location 5 min walk from ''plaza mayor'' very cheap less than 20euro pppn.
Excellent location for low price.
It was cold in the room.
It wont win any interior design prizes, although the staircase leading up to the hostel is pretty cool! Can be a bit noisy due to wooden flooring, the appartments below etc.
Stairs and floor in the lobby creak.
Nada.
Maybe rather thin walls or squeaky doors. Perhaps.
No elevator and u have to have good legs.
This is a huespedeje on 3rd floor with no lift.
At nightimes the stairway was plunged into total darkness with no lights. Had to buy a torch (flashlight) to find my way to the front door of the hotel each night.
As there is no reception at this place there is no where to stash luggage if waiting for a late departure after 12:00.
But there were some things which need be improved also: when soap in common bathrom was finished, nobody changed it, that was strange. The pillow on my bed was not very comfy and the bed itself was not very good also, it needed to be repaired (room number 6). I have to accept that the price was not high for this central place in Madrid but if to change something to better, it would be very good!.
no parking and had to pay 31euro to park over night in car park.
I expected some sort of classic hotel/hostel layout (reception, rooms, etc.) but this was more like a "flat sharing" experience at an elderly couple's flat. Maybe it is only me if you ever shared a flat with strangers you might like it. Money talks, you get what you pay for.
