From the moment you approach this hotel you feel welcome. The staff are true professionals who are happy to go the extra mile. The rooms are small but perfectly formed with wonderful design touches and very efficient a/c and water pressure. We have nothing but great things to say about Spain select! The service was fantastic throughout and all went perfectly. Alex was really helpful during check-in and Juliette from the concierge service even booked us guided tours of the prado. The apartment is spotless and very tastefully decorated. It had everything we needed for our stay. The location couldn't be better with Sol just a minute's walk away. Thank you Spain Select, we'll be back again!

The boss is very nice. If you can meet him, you can get help, but it's not always there at receiption. The location is very good, but it's not easy to find it. -

In early Aug 2013, it was very hot in Madrid. I arrived to find there was no aircon in any room due to a generator failure. Too tired to relocate I stayed anyway. Hotel is renovated and is very trendy, our room was good and clean.
Cleaning was done well. We had no problems at all. We didn't take
breakfast so cannot comment on it. It is well situated, with a tube stop
just 3 minutes walk from the door. All major tourists sites are withing
walking distance, Plaza del Sol only 5-7 mins away (Prado musem is about
15-20 minutes, so as Plaza Espania).

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room had been newly renovated and was kept extremely clean. There were two sets of double paned windows to keep out the street noise. The Museo del Jamon was right next to the hotel and is a great place to get breakfast, lunch, snacks, coffee or beer/wine. We would definitely return.

The location is superb (if a little hard to find down a side street). Staff were very friendly and went out of their way to do everything to make our stay perfect. Was concerned a "hostal" might not be up to scratch but it was like any other 3 star accommodation. Room was large with fairly new ensuite and very comfy beds. There was nothing we didn't like and would definitely stay again.
