Staff was helpful, smiley and made you feel welcome. The place was very clean and tidy all over and the decor was quite decent with nice design touches that made it feel fresh, simple and modern. My single room was just right and the shower room was nice and everything worked as it should.

The room was good value for money. There was a flatscreen and ac and plenty of space to ve around.
As said in previous comments, there is quite a bit of sound from the street at night, but the double glazing helps reduce it to a muffle.

pulizia gentilezza vicinanza al centro - Molto essenziale (visto anche il prezzo) ma pulito, centrale e grande cortesia del personale. Nonostamte siamo arrivati tardi (mezzanotte) ci hanno comunque accolti. Vicino al parlamento, pertanto guardie fisse sotto il vostro balcone.

Staff cordiale e molto disponibile, a mezzanotte passata ho dovuto ristampare d'urgenza la carta d'imbarco per ryanair e sono stati gentilissimi.

I am so sorry that I haven't asked the name of that super professional and kind guy at the reception. He was extremely careful, helped us out with all our questions and made sure that we were comfortable and safe all the time. The three recommendations he gave us (breakfast place, lunch place and pizza place) were all great. The hotel itself was not exactly what we were waiting for, but the location is great and everything was so easy. Recommend it.

The hostel is in the hart of Madrid, near to shops, bars, metro. The staff was friendly. The rooms although small are comfortable and clean. The beds were set every day, and clean towels were provided if necessary. I highly recommend this hostel since is the best vale for money!

Up to the moment I entered the hostal I didn't have great
expectations. Once inside the room I felt very spanish and ready to
conquer the world. Extremely cosy, warm, very clean and friendly, well
located, close to Gran Via and therefore close to everything in Madrid
the hostal offered us the best opportunity in Madrid for feeling
excellent. For people willing to go to Madrid I would kindly suggest to
have a very pleasant stay at hostal America.

My flight is in the evening and we have 7 luggage. But the check out time is 12.00. So I ask if it is possible to stay a little bit longer or store our luggage there. The host just let me stay inside the room until 5 in the afternoon for free!!! So nice!!! I really recommend here!!! -

Staff lovely and very helpful. Excellent location right in city centre walking distance to sights or metro 2minute walk away. Rooms clean with great air con and fridge. Great laundrette just down road and plenty of bars and restaurants. Would definately stay here next time we are in Madrid
