  It was always clean. They could speak english and they were very nice and helpful. Very close to the metro and many stores. It was easy to walk around and see how really Madrid looks like everyday. It was a very good location in the heart of the city and don't take any notice of guide books that tell you that this is an area to be avoided.   location is more than perfect in the middle of the very live street in Madrid. you can just go down and you will see people still going walking everywhere even at 2:00pm. Staff were friendly and you can leave your luggage there after checking out.   The hotel has a perfect locacion, it's realy in the super center. We haven't use transport, because it was possible to walk by foot to any place. It's very clian and lovely inside, I really like the design of the room. We had 2 balcons in the room, so it was possible to regulate temperature, because central heating work very well. There is a small kitchen in the hotel, it's very useful. - I'm a single female on a budget and this was a great find in Madrid- a great alternative to staying in a hostal. Location was walking distance to all the main areas. I only had to take the metro to/from the airport. The place is family run and they stay right on property. The owner was very helpful. He did not speak English, but we were able communicate anyway.
