  There have been many renovations since last staying there - including maintenance of the bathrooms and freshly painted and decorated walls. The rooms are always extremely clean and the staff superb. Along with that, the Manhattan Hotel has the best buffet breakfast of any of the Pretoria hotels I have stayed in (with exception to the Sheraton- ... cosa dice la gente » but that comes at a price!). - Staff were very helpful and efficient. Shuttle bus available for various transfers and journeys. Location was next to Gautrain station which was really convenient. The area outside and around the hotel was a busy urban setting but felt safe and the access to shops, museums and parks was straightforward and involved short walks.

Easy wlak to the Union Buildings; you can walk to the city center - 15 to 20 minutes.   The neighbourhood where the B and B is located is very quiet and peaceful even though it is less than 5 minutes from a busy shopping area and key transport access points like the Gautrain and the motorway. The owners and staff are friendly and very approachable. Owner is an architect and it shows. Our room was brilliantly designed with every comfort you could ask for: huge bed, big flat screen tv, fabulous bathroom, fridge etc etc. Breakfast, cooked by the owners was delightful. Plenty of off road parking. The router in our room went down the morning we were leaving but the owners allowed me to use their office. Hatfields is a nice suburb and downtown is easily accessible. A winner.
