The staff were great, just couldn't do enough for you and the hotel
itself is a great mix of the old original house and newly built annex
with lots of facilities, including a bar, jaccuzzi (if the weather
allows), good size pool etc.Breakfast is also of a high standard with an
excellent continental selection as well as choice of hot options. The
breakfast room is a lovely location with comfortable chairs and soothing
background music being played, all getting the day off to a great start.

The best hotel I've ever stayed in hands down! The staff was amazing! Else the owner is always there to greet you and help with anything you need. We came without really having an agenda and by the time we finished breakfast she had booked all of our excursions! One night while we were getting ready to go to a hen's night she even had a bottle of bubbly sent to our room. Just the sweetest person ever! The facilities were unbelievable as well. We arrived in Cape Town and had no where to stay and 51 on Forrest Drive where efficient and made our booking quickly and timeously and we were never disturbed when we were there and the food was delicious!

The Hippo is well-designed, clean, and in a great location. The room was super modern and cute! We loved having a nice little kitchenette (complete with a french press coffee maker). The rain shower and heated floors in the bathroom were nice as well.

It was an excellent location from which to explore Cape Town and the surrounding countryside inclsuding the Cape of Good Hope. It was also great to have a kitchen and the option to eat in instead of out - a real treat on a long trip. It was clean, the staff charming and we would certainly go back there again. Free parking too!

Apartment hotel room was large and fully equipped for extended stays and had an excellent location close to eateries and clubs and added plus a great view of Table Mountain. - Great Location. Amazing Service. Parking a bit expensive, but you can park outside for cheaper. Even overnight!!

This is a brand new hotel - open for just 2 months. Its location is on the fringe of busy downtown Cape Town, and is thus safe and secure, and within easy walking distance from all the major attractions including the popular VandA waterfront, and it is minutes away from the Convention Center. The hotel was situated perfectly for enjoying city life, the beach and in close proximity to the sporting event we had entered. The staff were friendly, efficient and helpful.
