Gated community and relatively easy to arrange transport to city. Small shops with essentials are in walking distance or short tricycle ride. Was a great "home base" during our trip. - As a solo traveler that had previously had a bad experience in Manila, I definitely felt safe in Casa Amiga and the gated community within which it was located.   The place is very clean. I and my partner was happy because we were given a hotel-like accommodation. Aside from the fact that its budget friendly, the staff/contact person was very approachable.
