Located on the edge of Lake Taupo, The Cove offers luxury rooms with satellite TV and either fully equipped kitchens or kitchenettes. It features a tour desk that can book local activities, including trout fishing, skydiving and mountain biking. Free parking is available on site.
Renovated in 2014, The Cove Taupo is just 5 minutes’ drive from Waikato River, and 10 minutes’ drive from Taupo Golf Club and Taupo Airport. The famous Huka Falls are a 15-minute drive away.
All rooms have free WiFi access, an alarm clock and a bathroom with guest toiletries. Some rooms also have a private balcony with a hot tub, or lovely lake views.
The Cove is also home to the Espresso Cove cafe which offers a daily breakfast and brunch menu, barista made coffee and a selection of sweet and savoury options. The cafe terrace provides stunning views across Lake Taupo.

We had a fantastic relaxing stay, as we work long hours and just had one night to try and relax, we were well looked after and totally appreciate our room and the mineral bath, it was so relaxing.

A very friendly and helpful staff who does an extra-mile to make your
stay comfortable as much as possible. A private spa room adjacent to the

It's been a pleasure staying in The Cove Motel. The staff there is wonderful and the service is just great.
It's definitely recommended to anyone who wants to enjoy a place of comfort in Tupo.
Staff very welcoming, nothing was a problem for them. Roomy accommodation. Good value and lovely location near lake-side. Fairly quiet location as slightly out of town.
Very close to town. Friendly and understanding about our late arrival (ferry delay). Great that they let us keep our bikes in the room (Lake Taupo event).
The staff were amazing, so friendly and helpful, I could NOT have asked for better service, my room was lovely, clean and reasonably priced. Very happy.

I've stayed at the Cove in the past & the spa pool outside the unit on the deck is wonderful, very relaxing after a long day.

The Cove is starting to look a bit tired & needs a bit of a spruce up with the furniture. A toaster wouldn't go astray in the unit either!.
No toiletries ie: soaps shampoo etc. There were a couple of soap dispensers one of which was empty.... Otherwise the room was great.
Heat Pump noisy and smelly. No microwave.

There was a parental Lock on the Sky Movie channel - I phoned reception
to have it removed, as I am travelling without kids, but was told that
the lock could not be removed! Seriously!? If The Cove is advertising
Sky tv as an enticement to book then surely all channels should be able
to be viewed! Otherwise tell travelers they can only watch kiddie
channels!!.

The fridge was extremely noisy and kept waking me up[.No where to eat within walking distance.
