Was a good motel for what we wanted,not too expensive,I guess some parts could of had a paint,but on the whole it was what we expected. Pool was good and everything we needed was there. Good sized rooms. The beds are very comfy. Nice clean unit. Friendly desk staff. Rooms are cleaned everyday. Spa Bath. Greeted very well an politely. Staff are friendly and very accomodating.

The whole vibe to the place! Good Chi and flow great for relaxing. hotel is very good, clean. It was great. The staff member on arrival was excellent, very friendly and helpful. The room had everything you would need, milk, utensils etc... Location was good Room was good an clean Overall was good affordable accommodation for our family. The Pool was lovely and the kids really enjoyed it, The staff were friendly. large room bed ok. It was the only place left at short notice for the Easter long weekend. It was quite after being out in the hot sun for 3 days. I enjoyed the fact that Devonwood is situated only a 15 minute walk from the city center. The catch on the toilet door was a little unusual!! Some people had a loud conversation outside our unit very late at night,that was a pity as we were woken. But guess that happens in motels!. No Aircon in the family units. nothing. far enough from city center (about 20 mins walk). The shoddy paint job you can tell has been done, and the stains on the carpet in the living area of the room could have been cleaned up, im sure a professional could get them out. The king bed wasn't zipped together. The rooms need some ventilation or some kind of air conditioning. Was very hard to sleep during the hot muggy nights. Also need some better things for the young kids to play on. The unit was very tired inside and it was very noisy. Very poor shower pressure no hair shampoo no tea towel room made up after first night was not well done wouldn't chose to stay their again. The unit walls were not soundproof. The loud talking from the neighbouring unit continued till 1.00 then when the visitors left they turned the on TV fairly loud. We could not get to sleep. Broken bedside light. Soft and squishy twin beds joined together as a double. Narrow and claustrophibic room. Not very private. No exhaust fan, bathtub or vanity in an otherwise huge bathroom. No mirror in main room. Fridge door wouldn't stay closed. Sparsely equipped kitchen. Room not ready when we arrived at 2:30 pm. We have stayed in similarly inexpensive but much more pleasant places in Rotorua. The cooking utensil's were not that nice to cook with the stove top was very grubby, I had to leave the dishes' on the last day as there was no dish washing liquid.I Do not like leaving dirty dishes' but as we were leaving before the office was open I had no choice. At the time of our visit they were undergoing noisy renovations right outside the room we had booked. They were using drills, nail guns, saws and had tools all over the carpark until 6.30 some nights and commenced work again at 9am in the morning!!! If we had known renovations were happening at the time of our stay, we would not have booked there. Very rude and not helpful at all!!!.
