Beechwood Motel offers self-catering accommodation with free onsite parking, only 5 minutes’ drive from the centre of Dunedin. Each of the refurbished and tastefully decorated suites and studios includes satellite TV. All rooms at feature an LCD TV, DVD player and tea/coffee making facilities. Each has a kitchen or kitchenette, and a work desk with WiFi access. Guest laundry facilities are available. The tour desk can book tickets for local attractions. Guests can charge their meals at several local restaurants back to the room. Dunedin Railway Station is a 5-minute drive from Beechwood Motel. It is a 10-minute walk to the University of Otago. The beaches of Ocean Grove Recreational Reserve are 9 km away.

Right from the start we received a warm welcome & a very good insight to attractions of the city.Although a bit dated,the facities are comfortable & our unit was spacious & comfortable.TV & Wi-Fi both great.On future trips to Dunedin this will be the first place we try to book.Location is very good,straight down George St to the Octagon,& shops,bar close by. Excellent hospitality and a wealth of very useful information on arrival. Friendliness and efficiency of staff. The space of the cottage. The location. The city itself, so interesting, full of atmosphere and scenery. The walk up the steepest road in the world!!. Dunedin and the Tourist Court cottages are definitely somewhere we would like to return to again.

The hosts were very kind and even went so far as to provide a gift to our niece for her graduation. Our accommodation was not top of the range, but it was really clean and tidy and roomy! I have already recommended it to others. much quieter than those nearer town esp from students. fantastic unit - separate lounge, bedroom, kitchen bathroom and toilet and love the bookcase in the lounge.the unit even has a bath! very friendly hosts. The unit was well equipped and beds and sofa etc. were comfortable. It is possibly an older type motel but is good value for money. Friendly reception. Staff customer service was absolutely excellent, very friendly and provided loads of tourist advice. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The place was old but spotless. We would stay any time. The history in the area and the location suited us.Handy to students dig's and the park. staff is kind, told us all the interests value to see in dunedin. the room is large. Very helpful staff, clean and within easy access to city and gardens. The staff was outstanding. Very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Great location in North Dunedin.Really large old style rooms. Good size, comfortable bed, all we needed for the night. nice hosts! comfortable space!. The ROom is very large. very comfortable... The motel is very close to The Center and it's easy to find some restaurants. Very clean, friendly staff. It was spacious and in a reasonably good spot relative to Mississauga centre. Staff were helpful. fairly spacious. Not a thing... parking is a bit tight - and the bed is a bit harder than i like - and the bath could be deeper! lol. Nothing in particular. Accommodation requires an upgrade. the room is a little bit old, as well as the facilities. Online it says free wifi. But, I wasn't aware that meant only 100mb of wifi. However, the cost to buy more is fairly cheap. Nothing. Cold draught came through edge of front door, toaster did not work, could not find a tea towel to dry the dishes. an used towl in the bathroom...><. the room was tiny. The motel needs some updates, it's very outdated.The rooms are old and facilities needs to be renewed. Shower pressure poor, dark and needs fan. also found the location/motel noisy. Someone roared down the drive at 4am then reversed back out and drove away !. The units were in dire need of a facelift. Fresh paint, new bedding, carpeting and some detailing. We would have changed to another place if we could have afforded the time. furnishings were dated and rather drab. It did not feel clean and you could see the dust behind the toilet. This was disappointing and did not deserve a 4 star rating.
