Everything was just perfect! Despite being located near the central
station and in the middle of the city the hotel was very quiet. We have
travelled to a lot of cities in Europe and have never stayed at a hotel
as clean and nice as this! It was very cosy and the beds were very

There were so many thoughtful touches in our room. We had a choice of coffees in our room, cookies, water, and a light breakfast if we wanted to eat there. We didn't, because the breakfast downstairs was so varied and in a cozy breakfast room with interesting people to visit. It was like being a favorite guest in someone's home.

This was our first trip to Amsterdam and certainly won't be our last, due mainly to the excellent service and kindness of Chris and David at the Tulip of Amsterdam. (in fact, we made a second reservation on our last day! I think that says it all!) Our room was beautifully decorated, clean and well equipped as was the rest of this lovely old refurbished building.
