The staff were very friendly, helpful and courteous. They answered all our munerous questions about the area, as we had not been in this location before. They gave good advise about things to see and transport. The restaurant was excellent and the staff very helpful. Secure car parking below hotel was excellent and convenient. Overall an excellent experience and we will come back if we are in the area again.

Restaurant was fantastic...very limited menu (two choices), but the food was great! Great parking garage. Rooms were very modern; not sure that the mural of "wheels of Gouda cheese" is the best for a suite give that there are a million canals and amazing photo ops in the area, but that is a minor point. We are a family of 5 our daughter had to go to the hospital when we checked in and the front desk arranged the whole thing, from an appointment and a taxi to and from the hotel to hospital. The rooms were very clean great size the 2 rooms connected and was great. The staff was always willing to help and made dinner reservations for us also. I will DEFINITELY be back. The hotel was excellent along with great parking. My wife and I celebrated our 30 th anniversary there and it was a great choice. I thank the entire staff for the great service and fabulous room. We will never forget it. Ps the breakfast was outstanding. The room was well appointed and clean, the reception staff were outstanding, breakfast was excellent and the location for the city centre / railway station etc was perfect. The entire hotel and it's design was striking. Very fresch hotel. Good sized rooms with a large comfortable bed. Parking in a public parkinghouse under the hotel for a reasonable extra cost. Good breakfast (was included in our price). New, modern facilities, walk along the canal to the city center. Staff were helpful; got me food after the bar was closed and gave me directions to a good restaurant. The location is excellent, the weekend rate is very competitive. The security alarm on the door if not fully shut, Size of room and quality of beds wit 2 pillows. We were visiting friends in Gouda and have struggled to find somewhere close before. This hotel is well situated near the city centre and very good value. No doors on shower or bathing area...ok for a couple as the toilet is separate from the bathing area, but not good in a triple room where our teens (co-ed) shared a room. For he price of the suite, you should not have to go begging to the front counter for more "instant coffee" packets. Disappointing coffee/tea in the room. Restaurant not open Fridays and Saturdays (but we were eating out anyway). Small things: view was at building site but did not matter because we stayed for just sleeping. Difficult to do make-up with mirrors either on long distance over huge zink or in a dark spot in the room. Had difficulty on the initial parking of car went to wrong level. The bathroom is too open plan.The toilet has a door but the sink is behind a partition and there is no door on the shower area.If you need lights to use sink or shower all the lights in the room have to be on. More privacy would be respected especially when travelling with people you are not intimate with. Bathroom inside the room with no door. Sorry, I guess I'm a bit of a prude, But I would prefer a door on the shower enclosure. No restaurant was available in the hotel over the weekend. nothing. Nothing.. On-site parking is rather expensive. no shower curtain or door. Odd bathroom arrangement with shower and sink open plan to room. My wife hated it as felt it lacked privacy. I thought it enlarge the room but only ok for a couple who knew each other well! Twin beds very close together. Bathroom was designed for tall people! Couldn't reach sink easily (but there was a step if required). The bright mustard yellow colour on the walls in the bedroom. I would personally prefer something softer. premises are under construction, need to be covered. Nothing really. I suppose because its new the staff are still finding their feet but not enough is known about the car-parking arrangements, bit of a farce when I left. Also the breakfast was a busy time but staff not really up to it...had to serve ourselves with coffee and tea and only two machines, so queues...more staff???. Shower with no door. All the furniture in the rooms seemed to have been made for tall people. soap was empty in the bath&shower. Shower not great. No remarks to make. Open shower. Sorry we like some privacy. Design of bathroom, toilette and shower. Ok to makevreservation with Diners card but not possible to pay with it!. Too far from the train station, little information about the city and restaurants in front desk. Actually the front desk was always too busy and personnel were cold. They do not clean the glasses and cups from the nigth before. So, at the end of week, I had 5 glasses and 2 dirty cups on my room (!?). Only showers, no bath. The attitude if the Desk Staff. My husband cut his head badly on an angled wall in our room just after we arrived. The finish was very rough and incredibly sharp. He still has a very angry 2" scar in the centre of his head. He reported it within 20 minutes and not once did any of the staff even comment, then or during the weekend.
