I had a great time at Riad d'Or. It was exactly the type of accommodation I was looking for: one representing the legendary Moroccan hospitality. This means for me good food, laid-back atmosphere, water presence, beautiful Arab decoration, smiling ladies and attentive gentlemen.

They would go up from the reception till the roof -
Tthe “Superior Quadruple Room” (the Pacha room if you are looking at the
riad’s website) easily accommodated two married couples (one double bed
and two twin beds that the staff had pushed together) in somewhat
separated/private areas. The room also had a comfortable couch on
which a short person or child could sleep. The common areas of this riad
are among the most intricately, ornately, and opulently decorated (in a
good way) of any in which I have stayed. Lots of hot water. Staff was

Beautifully restored and decorated riad with a very friendly and helpful housekeeper. Note that the housekeeper has very limited English, but my high school French was sufficient to communicate easily with her. -
It's located in the Medina, but not on the busy part of it. Parking
was easy and took us less than 3 minutes walking to find the Riad.

The Proprietor was wonderful. He was always willing to help, and his family was extremely nice. I was there for an extended period of time, and I really was made to feel like part of the family. The hotel is located in the old town and we had good experience about the people in the twon. The old lady who kept the house was very friendly even though she could not speak English. Her heart was there in the job to serve. The room is wide with windows open to outside, making a good airflow even though we had to withstand the children's play

We were blindsighted by the wonderfull reception and experience we have had in Meknes and at Riad Amazigh! Amazigh was, up to now (only one more hotel to stay - in Rabat), the very best place we have stayed in Morocco. Unfortunately I stayed at Riad Amazigh just for one night. I met the owner Fatima which has welcomed me with a lovely dinner (the olives and lemon chicken tajin was amazing). The room was big, clean. Did not have the chance to use all the hotel facilities. The breakfast was abundant.
The quality of the service is higher than other riads I have been during my holiday in Morocco and the price is fair compared with the overall quality of the experience. I definitely recommend this riad to the peop

A gorgeous riad, which resembles a palace (and indeed it once belonged to a member of the royal family), well kept by a French university professor, a smart old man filled with humour. The Riad has a beautiful furniture, a lovely garden, and the keeper provides guests with a lavish breackfast. One of the highlights of our staying in Morocco.
