  Great location: a minute away from the heart of the medina but very peaceful place too. The dar/riad is exactly what you want: a nondescript door opens to unveil an exquisitely decorated and ornate interior. The place itself, and the rooms, are incredibly spacious and comfortable. Due to there being two terraces (which are also great), you can even get privacy in - The family that runs Dar El Bali was warm and generous, welcoming and helpful. The Dar is a lovely home, well-maintained and beautifully furnished in traditional Moroccan style and a perfect location within the Fes medina. We would definitely stay there again if we return to Fes.

  Receptionist was lovely. She made a special effort to have breakfast available early for us and another couple who were catching an early train to Marrakech. Nice sized room, well appointed. Just keeping - Friendliness of the riad team - the two ladies were very helpful and knowledgeable, took me to a local hammam, arranged a henna for me. The riad itself is a hidden gem, indeed - luxurious rooms, well maintained and perfectly clean. Royal suite highly recommended, but all rooms have a charm of their own and are a nice choice. Location - 1 min away from one of the two main streets of the medina, yet still on a quiet street, close to a parking lot - ideal for our rentacar. Big thank you to the who

Really beautiful architecture right in the Medina, which means you can do most of the sightseeing by foot. We had dinner there for 25eur pp, which I think is expensive but the food was truly amazing. Breakfast was excellent as well. I wish I could stay more time! We hired a guide through them for 25eur, which was ok. They charge 10eur for a transfer to the train station in a grand-taxi, but we took a small-taxi there for 2eur.

  On arriving at the airport we were greeted by a friendly taxi driver who agreed a price of 150 Dhirams to take us to Fez He called the hotel for us. We were met at "the blue gate" by Youness, a worker from the hotel who helped us with our bags. After that the hotel was always easy to find again. The room was spacious and comfortable. The renovations have been carried out with the finest workmanship. The locations is outstanding, being only 100 m from the taxi and at the gates of the Medina,.   Hotel davvero belli, lo consiglio. Fes invece no, e' troppo troppo sporca e credetemi, io ne ho visti di luoghi fatiscenti e sporchi ma nemmeno l'Africa o il sud America si avvicinano al Marocco. In sostanza e' un luogo da vedere una volta nella vita e basta! - Sembrava di essere all'interno di una vera abitazione araba
