Cosa dice la gente
We just come back from our trip to Taxco and couldn't have stay in a better place. Hotel Los Arcos is located in the middle of town, nevertheless very quiet during the night. It's an old monastery with big, bright, clean, cozy rooms, comfortable beds, very helpful and friendly staff, and compared to other places the rates are really moderate. Don't miss to enjoy the view from their roof terrace! We would definitively stay there again. tutti gli commenti dei clienti »
We liked the staff, the building, the fact that we felt welcome. The hotel is very well located to visit the main downtown area allowing guests to be able to walk to all major attractions. Further the hotel has a restaurant that is integrated in its building yet is separate. The restaurant is excellent and its offerings are delicious and reasonably priced.
Taxco is such a fascinating little town, and Los Arcos is right in the middle of it. Location: excellent. Built around a colonial courtyard the rooms are on many levels. No aircon (as is normal in small places) it had a very efficient modern fan. A charming place with friendly helpful staff.
EVERYTHING: the venue (it is in a previously convent building), cozy / authentic and comfortable room with nice view and no street noise, restaurant inside the hotel building, empty rooftop for afternoon / evening chill. A very pleasant and stylish / homy stay!.
The staff was friendly and helpful and the rooms and common areas were pleasant and homey. The attached restaurant is good and reasonably priced. The location is almost perfect; maybe 60 seconds from the Zocalo. The terrace has a great view.
Pilar, the receptionist was super helpful with bus tickets and info even though her English was minimal! Location perfect. Beds comfortable. Beautiful old building.Taxco is a must on any tour of Mexico.
The architecture and design of the hotel were unique. The room was
spacious and comfortable. The views from the rooftop deck were
excellent. The location is less than one block from the city center.
Excellent stylish hotel in a great section of town. Atmosphere of an old
colonial house with a beautiful patio. Nice and friendly hotel staff.
Helpful, professional staff manage a beautifully restored historic building ensuring the comfort of their guests.
I loved the view from all the rooftops. I also loved all the beautiful places taxco has to offer.
location, view from the rooftop, the buliding itself (old palace with courtyard).
Interesting very old hotel with lots of character in a great location.
Hotel has beautiful colonial charm and the location is excellent.
Loved the design and ambiance of this hotel.
The building and location were amazing!.
The setting is lovely with an open roof and tree in the lobby. The staff was very nice and the breakfasts (not included) were a good value for the money. The front desk was very helpful and even got a driver for us to take us back to Mexico City. BIG WARNING the hotel does not accept credit cards and it was NOT on the booking confirmation. The hotel wanted payment for the first night on arrival and luckily we had enough cash with us but not for the second night too. They did let us pay the nex.
Very pretty hotel (aesthetically).
Given that the bulding is old and has a deep central court this area can be very dark.
Nada. But then, it seems to be the off-season and it was not very full.
everything was great!.
Would have liked a kettle for coffee/tea in the room.
The shower pressure was low. Unfortunately, there was a smoking area
directly next to the restaurant, which made dining there unpleasant.
The only problem is fairly noisy street on which the hotel is located.
Rooms at the street site practically not suitable for use.
I loved everything. To some people the slopes might be too much but we didn't have a problem we loved the cardio.
limited view from the room.
No Wifi connection in our room which was disappointing.
Restaurant food not great.
Loved the garden area, the restaurant and decor was fabulous.
Trying to find it and parking! Use a taxi.
Many many stone steps to the bedrooms; bedrooms were Spartan - no usual basics such as tissues; hair dryer; etc. Biggest problem was the hot and cold water controls were reversed and there was no indicator or sign in the room. As it was it took about 8 minutes for the hot water to come on and the shower was simply a trickle.
Prices were too high for what the hotel is. Yes the hotel is pretty, but rooms are very basic, shower had almost no pressure, same thing with the toilette, etc.
