The hotel is located a few minutes away from the city center. It is owned by a gentleman from United Kingdom. Very nice home atmosphere made us feel very welcomed. We were given a few good tips of places to visit. Coffee and breakfast were great. Totally recommend travelers visiting Merida to choose Yucatan Vista. Price is very reasonable. -

This place is what heaven must be like. Although we're young and on a budget, we like staying in authentic, beautiful places and this hotel was the best welcome to Mexico we could get.
The hotel is in this beautiful traditional-styled home with a wonderful patio with fountain allowing you to sleep with only the sound of the flowing water... The decorations, made by locals, were incredibly beautiful (from the bed covers to the ceramic hand painted sink).

Excellent staff: friendly, flexible, responsive to requests. Spoke English. They were what made this a memorable stay. Sent us off early in a.m. with sandwiches--beyond call of duty. Fine breakfast included in pleasant garden. Rooms small but very clean, totally adequate for budget travelers. AC important.
