  The hotel is fabulously old. With portraits and paintings in the lobby from years gone by. I love the old-world charm of the Spanish colonial building. The staff at check in was great, and was always willing to answer our questions - Great atmosphere, lots of character. Staff very helpful, we just didn't like the rooms offered.   I liked everything!! The hotel is gorgeous, the staff, the owners and the owners friends were just great. It wasn't like a hotel stay, I felt like being a guest in a friends home. It's perfect for couples, very romantic, and you just can't beat the views. It's great to stay at such a quiet place in GTO--some places in the centro can be very noisy. The food was delicious, too. The best "pan dulce" I've ever had in Mexico, too! We very much enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.
