  the location was brilliant. got on the grand canel and the water taxi stopped right at the hotel front door. staff and room was all very nice. breakfast was the best we had during our two weeks in Italy.

  As many reviewers comment, the entrance is sparse at best. The entrance is no indication of the hotel once you get up the stairs. We aren't sure why some reviewers comment harshly on the stairs... The location of this hotel is exceptional! It was a two minute walk to St. Mark's square (once we got oriented) which allowed us to visi - Great location-close to everything. Staff was very helpful and informative. Kept very clean and tidy. Breakfast was great on the patio. Do have to climb a lot of stairs (no elevator) but very nice place. - Location was perfect. Nice to be able to put all 5 of us in one room. Staff were very easy to work with and accomodated some special requests and made good recommendations for dinner, sight-seeing, etc..

It is 5 minutes from st Marks Square so it was so easy to see the amazing sites there but was also very peaceful. The staff were friendly and helpful. I loved sitting on the little boat landing with my book and drink after a day sightseeing.

The en-suite bathroom was a good size and had WC, bidet, large sink, jacuzzi bath (normal size) plus tiled - This hotel was absolutely stunning! We had the junior suite with a canal view and it was amazing! The room was beautifully decorated! This hotel room, experience and location was the highlight of our trip! I highly recommend it! Even though the junior suite is a bit more money than the regular rooms, if you are wanting to treat yourself while in Italy for a couple days, I would definitely spend the extra money on this room!! Also, the breakfast was very good, even the view was amazing there! Lo
