The staff were extremely helpful and sympathetic. We had a small problem with a key, and they were eager to sort it out very quickly. Very central, 2 mins away from piazza Duomo and Via Etnea and 5 mins
away from the market. Less than 10 mins from the port. It has a private
parking shared with the rest of the gated community which seemed to be
safe. The guesthouse has a lift as well and it was very good considering
the cheap price we payed. Wifi was also available, italian breakfast in
room and with a balcony for the street view. Very worth it if you're
not looking for luxury but the basics you need

Newly renovated and decorated with care to a high standard in a very pleasant style (as on the pictures).

We used the shuttle service to get from the airport to the Residenza which suited us well. The place was very clean and modern. The bathroom for the room is not actually connected to the room but across the hall. This isn't a big deal as there are only about 4 rooms in the hall. The minibar is cheap and well stocked. There is a supermarket just around the corner as well as some nice restaurants and an information centre. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful with good English. They gave

The hotel Is owned by Enrico, who took care himself about everything during our stay. The room was very clean, bed very comfortable and hot cookies that were made just a few minutes before breakfast were just amazing with cappuccino.
We were helped with taxi from airport and excellent transfer service to the Ferry in the morning. Will surely recommend this place to all travelers. Nick.

Il proprietario ci ha accolti in modo impeccabile, con cortesia ed efficienza. La posizione è meravigliosa, nel cuore di Caltagirone. L'edificio è antico e le stanze arredate con gusto ed eleganza. Il Carmine is very conveniently located in a quiet piazza about 200m from the centre of the the old hilltop town of Erice. The town itself is very busy with tourists so this was a big help. The charcter of the hotel derived a lot from its past as a monastery. The rooms were very clean if a bit austere but that's exactly what I expected. The staff were reserved but charming.

Very central, room was fine with a great old ceiling, choice of breakfast in the B&B or in the bar just down the road: we chose the bar for the fun of it!
The lift is a typical old Italian lift with small benches upholstered in red velvet to take up two floors in style ;-) -
Simple, clean,unfussy accommodation close to the sights of Catania.

Owner was most helpful and provided the best restaurant recommendation we have EVER had! How the food was supplied at the quality and price I still don't understand. The location seems a bit dodgy at first glance but it is metres from the main drag leading to the atmospheric historical highlights. All in all a pretty cool establishment. -
