Joseph was so lovely, he didn't speak very much English but that added to the classic Italian vibe! The room was perfect, it had large windows opening onto the Italian streets below, a very comfortable double bed, a sofa, tv, desk and other things. We weren't there much as there is so much to do in Rome but when we were it was perfect.

The place is held by a family and when we arrived, we felt like we were a part of this family. The owners made sure that our stay was as comfortable as possible. Even when I felt under weather, they kindly prepared tea for me as often as we asked for it. The facilities are clean and comfortable and the location could not be better. Almost everything is a walking distance from the hotel and we rarely needed to use any kind of transportation.

È una perla nel centro di Roma. Difficile trovare un difetto. Dalla disponibilità dei proprietari, alla cortesia, alla pulizia oltre alla location ed alla splendida camera che offre tutti i confort di un hotel a 4 stelle!! Eccellente in tutto.

Ho soggiornato due notti in questo b&b. Sono rimasta molto soddisfatta e lo consiglierei. L' Arredamento è molto curato e la nostra stanza era decisamente originale, aveva infatti un letto tondo con la televisione al plasma posta al soffitto! La notte abbiamo dormito molto bene in quanto la strada era molto silenziosa nonostante sia in una zona centrale. Personale molto cortese.

Not sure I want to provide a review about this place as it will be giving away a secret! I travel to Rome often and had to book this hotel at the last minute. I was pleasantly surprised. What struck me the most was the friendly nature of the family running this establishment. I can only describe it as old fashioned hospitality with a genuine smile. Bedroom was huge for mid city standards and shower was larger than most 5 star hotel.

dopo un piccolo empasse iniziale dovuto al fatto che ci aspettavamo una struttura leggermente differente, non possiamo dire nulla di negativo. Personale gentilissimo e disponibile (Fernando alla reception veramente molto gentile) ci hanno permesso di lasciare i bagagli l'ultimo giorno senza nulla chiedere. Posizione ottima (centro raggiungibile a piedi in 20 min di cammino), camere pulite, confortevoli e silenziose, parcheggio vicino a pagamento (20 euro ogni 24 h), cortesia del personale, anche se non sempre presente è reperibile ad un cellulare.

Right from the moment of the initial, the team at Matisse couldnt have been more helpful and professional. Roberto, the owner, was charming. The relaxed atmosphere was welcome after a long day travelling. His restaurant recommendation was perfect. Although they were fully booked on our last pass thru Rome, the staff once again went above and beyond by helping us find alternate accommations in their neighbourhood. We will definetly stay here again and highly recommend BB Matisse!

My girlfriend and I booked a room in Esedra mainly because of its good location, 10min walk from Termini, 15min from Trevi Fountain area and 2min from the nearest metro station.
The room was pretty neat, really clean, the bathroom was one of the nicest we had in Italy, it had a massage shower, which was pretty cool.
