  Staff at this hotel were very helpful even checking the internet for webcam pictures of the route i was taking in the car for bad weather ,by the way i had a great trip thanks, also this has to be the best breakfast i have ever had in a hotel plenty on offer and tasty, i was stuffed thanks - Albergo Hofer - no so big but very cozy and calm hotel ... cosa dice la gente » close Bolzano city center.   The location of this hotel is amazing. The road to there is so wild and narrow that sometimes two cars can't pass next to each other. The view is magnificent since you can see Bolzano from up the hill. There are vineyards and apple orchards all around. We enjoyed the food - it tastes like home made food but it is presented like in a high class res... cosa dice la gente » taurant. You feel like home but with additional quality stars. The staff is very friendly and professional. We enjoyed the breakfast and we appreciate - Very friendly, professional family-run hotel. Superb location up many hairpin bends above Bolzano; incredible view from the balconies and restaurant across to the high Dolomites. Hotel spotless and comfortable, food delicious with generous portions, house wine very drinkable. Rustic Tyrolean charm throughout. We loved it all - not the poshest hotel we've ever stayed in, but absolutely great for all the reasons described above! Just as described in their website.

  Excellent location but the street in front of the hotel is one-way and mostly pedestrian. Our gps brought us to the wrong end of the street. We didn't know you could actually drive on it at first since it looked busy and too small. Room was clean. The room rate was good for this pricey little town. Secure parking is available for 13 Euros in a lot that is three blocks away. - Hotel is the cheapest one in Bolzano, but still offers great value. Some reviews are either misleading or very negative, which is unfair to this hotel. I have stayed in Italy in many so-called 4 star hotels which had lesser quality. Downstairs in the street there is good restaurant with the same name, good italian cuisine.

  this is my second time in Kolpinghaus Bolzano, everything was as good as before but the receptionist was even more friendly this time. Hotel feels different, more like staying in a school or convent, which is understandable, being part of Christian hostel organisation for the travelers with long history. And free parking was possible on Via Carducci but you need to be careful because it was necessary to put a sign of free parking that the hotel provides when you check in free of charge even if you park your car on the white line which means the parking lot is free for public in other cities of Italy.
