Adare House Bed & Breakfast - Foto
Cosa dice la gente
It was raining on the day we arrived on our motorbike and Margaret couldn't have been more helpful - drying jackets, etc, welcoming us with a much needed pot of tea & even driving us into town! Our room was clean & comfy - good value for money. Very friendly and Margaret provided good advice on local amenities and the best routes for sightseeing. We would certainly recommend a stay at this accommodation. tutti gli commenti dei clienti »
Very friendly welcome and the staff's genuine interest in their guests, what they wanted to do and where they were from. They offered lots of very helpful advice and information to help get the best from the area. Rooms are very clean and comfortable with all of the facilities you would expect. Breakfasts are excellent and really set you up for the day. Adare House is a credit to the owners/staff.
We were really glad that Margaret enouraged us to cycle the "Greenway" from Westport to Achill Island. We had a very memorable day, although we didn't go all the way to Achill, We stopped at Mulranny (really beautiful place), it was absolutely wonderful as were Margaret's breakfasts - really delicious and kept us going all day to dinner.
On arrival I was greeted at the door which surprised me since it is unusual. Margaret is delightful and friendly and the Coffee and homemade cakes were very welcome. A lovely touch that is typical whenever you enter an Irish house. Breakfast with fresh fruits and delicious homemade bread was fantastic. No stairs was a bonus.
Received a warm welcome from the owner Margaret, who is very friendly and helpful. My room was comfy and clean. Had a fabulous view of Croagh Patrick from my bedroom window. Tasty, panoramic breakfast, the breakfast room has the view of Croagh Patrick.
My husband and I were travelling with my Mother and young daughter, and Margaret and Christy were so hospitable and friendly. The breakfasts were superb; location to town centre is excellent and we felt quite relaxed and comfortable in the B and B.
Proprietors were incredible! Very welcoming, tea on our arrival, assistance in determining our route the following day (including a weather report - we were climbing Croagh Patrick).
Not far from city centre, easy access to pubs and shops.
Margaret, from the onset of our visit was a lovely host. Her B
& B was immaculate, comfortable and with five star food. We were searching for family in Achill Island and she went out of her way to help us.
Very friendly and welcoming. Helpful in directions, local information
and current activities. And then genuinely interested in how their
guests enjoyed both their recommendations and our other activities.
The owners were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very comfortable and the breakfast was very nice. Overall I would highly recommend this B&B and will stay there again in the future.
Clean comfortable rooms. Very friendly owner. Good range of breakfast choices. Within easy walking distance of Westport town centre with great views of mountains. Would certainly stay here again.
I can say only the best about Adare House. The room was spacy, clean and well equipped. Breakfast was very nice too and we've given a good advice about where to go and what we should visit.
Love the owner, and she was very hospitable. Suggested some great places to eat and the route to our next stop was the best views of our entire trip!!! Will definitely stay there again!!.
Great location and lovely clean house, the hosts made you feel very welcome with tea and cakes on arrival and the breakfast was one of the best we have had so will be returning again.
Lovely comfortable room and very friendly staff. Excellent breakfast and we wre allow to leave our car in car park on day of check out to walk around the shop in Westport town.
The warm welcome with a cup of tea. The guest lounge is lovely and the room was very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and the owner coped well with a very large group.
Friendly and helpful owner, Welcoming tea and cake on arrival. Parking was a bit tight when guesthouse was full but this was no problem due to Margaret's helpfulness.
.

The friendly and welcoming reception received on arrival from both Margaret & Christy and our desire to go back to stay with them as soon as possible.

Clean, friendly, lovely atmosphere and warm welcome.
Wunderful owners! Great rooms and great breakfast!.
All round perfect establishment,we will be back.
Great breakfast and very helpful owner/staff.
Nice small town and good little restaurant.
They were very very nice to me and my wife.
Friendliness of staff. Comfortable room.
Everything we had a lovely stay.
Leaving! We went on to stay in Dublin and Killkenny and though the same price per person, the others weren't a patch on Adare House.
My room was on the ground floor at the front of the house. It would have been useful to have something on the windows to avoid having to close the curtains for privacy.
Can't think of anything!.
I would have liked some door hooks to hang coats.
There was nothing that I didnt like about this B&B and will book again next time I'm visiting Westport.
Nothing.
Nothing to dislike really. A bit far out of town to walk at night but I easily found parking in town following Margaret's advice.
nothing not to like.
The bed was a bit small but only because my partner is 6ft 5".
Nothing - suited our purpose perfectly.
The only minus was the size of the shower... Very small.
Enjoyed every moment and would definitely go back.
Nothing.
Nothing to dislike.
nothing.
This didn't really apply to me as I was on my own but a little background music over breakfast would have allowed guests to talk to each other a little more without fear of being the only noise that could be heard. It's just a small point but I felt that guests were uncomfortable speaking as it was so quiet.
The traffic on the main road was noisy for most of the night. We had to keep the windows open because of the hot weather, so this didn't help.
Tada.
TV a bit limited though the main lounge TV was better.
Felt slightly rushed after early breakfast..., would have liked breakfast at 11 am and out by 12.... Instead breakfast at 10 and out by 11 .... Too early as the purpose of our visit was to attend a wedding ..which as everyone knows tends to go on forever.
Nothing.
Room at ground level faced the road so with the curtains necessarily drawn and the window necessarily open (it was very warm) and with sodium street lights shining all night it was noisy at times and the light pollution was unwelcome.
a bit far from main part of Wesport town.
Adare house is on a busy main road and rooms at the front suffer from traffic noise.
Little expensive - €30 per night for child.
