  Ideal first stop after ferry journey to Rosslare. We were welcomed warmly and given the location of a convenient spot for dinner. The guest house was set in beautiful grounds and the whole place felt warm and welcoming. - On arrival we received a very friendly welcome from Olive.   We were running late & called the restaurant that was due to close around 9.00pm.they agreed to stay open just for us-we arrived at 9.30pm and the staff stayed on in order to serve us.leaving around 10.30pm the room was very clean & comfortable. The owner could not have been more helpful.   Warm, friendly and hospitable landlady. A friend and I just needed beds for the night after leaving the ferry and continuing to Skibbereen next day. The guest house was quiet so the proprietor let us have a bedroom each for no extra charge, and she gave us lovely home made bread, cheese and pickles, also refusing extra payment when we offered. We decided to return on our way home after 2 weeks in Ireland. - The convenience for catching the early departure ferry to Fishguard. + There was a brilliant sunset the evening we stayed, and it created a fantastic view across the fields to the hills beyond from the verandah of room 9.
