The Sunrise Lodge B&B was so fantastic. It exceeded all of our expectations. Paeder and his wife were so wonderful! The room was cozy and extremely comfortable. The service, facilities and breakfast were marvellous and the location on Galway Bay and walking distance to Galway City shops and restaurants was perfect. I mistakenly left an item of clothing in the cupboard and the proprietors were kind enough to parcel it up and post it at their expense (which I could not in all fairness accept) speedily to us in Australia.

As central as Jury's for half the price! I loved the location - I have had too many visits to Galway recently where I've been stuck in hotels or guesthouses on the edge of town and had to battle through the notorious Galway traffic jams. Almost changed our reservation after reading bad reviews online. So glad we did not. Great central location. Yes a little loud but that is the price you pay to be in the heart of any city. Friendly welcome. Beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean rooms. Yes, small rooms but We were not looking for a suite. Quaint kitchen with continental breakfast laid on. Lovely hotel and very well located! Only one girl on duty on the day we left and she had to do Reception,cook and serve breakfast and wash-up singlehandedly and she did it with a smile. than enough for us.

Mary is such an excellent hostess with sincere loyalty to her guest and has a wealth of knowledge to guide us where ever we wanted to go. The breakfast room was a nice way to start the day with smiling faces and good conversation.
Mary's B&B is nicely located to downtown and we enjoyed the 10 minute walk to the shops and pubs. -
