  We stayed at this lovely hotel as we were travelling around the Greek islands. It is situated at the top of the ring road around town. You can walk there from the harbour, its a bit of a slog on foot,up hill all the way, its a good work out but all of the old town is like this. Very quaint narrow streets, whitewashed. The location is above the City on the Ring Road and good to reach but nevertheless quiet. It is not a problem to park a car on the road but there is a dedicated parking space as well. The rooms with sea view are nice located and offer a scenic view on the city and the harbour. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful.   Our vacation was off to a lovely start when Michael, owner of the studios, picked us up at the airport, holding up a sign with my name on it! We felt like VIP persons, walking to his car while the rest of the charter flight tourists were getting on the bus. Our host made a quick stop at the supermarket to buy us a free sixpack of water. We chose number 7, a room in two floors and a large balcony overlooking the ocean and the - Owner picked us up from airport which was great. Michael, the owner, spoke good English and was very helpful. Great value one night stay before moving on to Skopelos the following day. Although there were a few steps to the apartment Michael did volunteer to help with the cases.

  We loved everything about this hotel! Rigas hotel lovely and cozy –and Skopelos is a bit of a Paradise on Earth! Our room was recently renovated, so everything is fresh. We had a standard room but George upgraded for us since we were there on our honeymoon. They place a complimentary wine & fruits with wishes. Skopelos is a very quiet and green island and we really enjoyed it. The hotel is not in the center of the port town, but it's not far. They picked us up from the port and even drove us a nice restaurant on the water for dinner and made sure we knew how to get back. It was an easy walk. He helpe

There is a pool, with a bar and light meals served all day till about 22:00. (Ask Maria to make - We found that the nearby beach, Troulos beach, was great for swimming with the children.   The Ostria is a fantastic choice. If you read reviews, people return year after year and I can see why; we will. We are a group of friends with children and we all had a wonderful and relaxing time and especially loved the pool area in the day. The surroundings are peaceful during the day and night and the views are - We had a wonderful week. The family and staff couldnt do enough to help, and the fact that most of the other guests were repeat visitors gives you an idea of what people think. Breakfast was nice, the pool is superb, rooms are fairly basic but exceptionally clean. We had a very large balcony, and a small kitchen area that again was basic but very clean and did the job. The beach is 2 minute walk away. Yes, you have to cross a road, but its not the M1! (We had a 3 year old and a 1 year old in a
