  The Pantheon has the most idyllic setting, quiet, relaxed and friendly. The family are simply wonderful, nothing is too much trouble. The rooms and surrounding amenities are spotless the food is fresh and tasty and the service is excellent.   We stayed in Amfitriti hotel for 2 nights and our staying was simply wonderful! First of all, we consider Lakka better than Gaios because it is less overcrowded and touristy. Secondly, the hotel was awesome, as for its proximity to the village (5 minutes walking), the rooms with views on Lakka bay and the beach just few meters far. All the staff were so friendly and helpful - they really couldn't have done anymore to make our stay more relaxing.   We have stayed at this hotel three times now each time for one night while waiting for a boat to paxos / the mainland. I would highly recommend it for a short stay, particularly the corner rooms (number 5 on each floor). The location is excellent and corfu town is well worth a visit for a day or two. - Very helpful and friendly staff who couldn't do enough for us. The gentleman on the reception booked the Despina for our crossing to Paxos. The hotel was very centrally located in the old town with a fantastic view of the old fort from our balcony. It was a wonderful start to our week's holiday and we will certainly return when next in Corfu.
