  Mr. Sigalas is a wonderful host! He picked us up at the port and drove us to the villa. He had us laughing and feeling like we were part of the family. His two daughters run the reception and they will arrange anything you need. They were able to set up rental cars, restaurant reservations, boat trips, whatever. They had only been open for 2 years when we stayed there, and Mr S - I liked everything. I have been to Santorini before and the overall standard of accommodation is high at every price level. It is highly competitive too. What makes the Sigal stick out is the unassuming nature of your hosts, all members of the same lovely family who are always cheerful and overtly helpful without straying into the poncey attendant type operation that Santorini seems to have sprouted in abundance.   Good choice for inexpensive accomodation in Santorini. It's a traditional Cycladean island Hotel, run by an nice and helpful family, who welcomed me openly to Santorini. The rooms are simple and clean, with everything necessary. Free internet. Seaviews on both side. It's close to the local Caldera Beach (best beach in Santorini in my opinion) and ... cosa dice la gente » to the Red Beach. There is a motorbike and atv hire: "Diamantis Team", and this is the best way to go around the island. Or to take a local bus. Bus s - We loved the view and the wonderful owners, they treated us like family and we felt very welcome. They gave us a great car rental deal and all kinds of island information. Great price for the room considering where we were. And they were there to pick us up and drop us off at the port at no additional cost!

  The hotel is situated in the centre of Akrotiri and the excavations are only 15min walking. The hotel is very modern and clean and is family owned, offering a really good service. The swimming pool is very big and you have an area to chill out and a bar. Highly recommended for all type of travellers.

The sea (Caldera beach) is right under the hotel, however, you should climb down from the rock to the seaside (about 15- min road).
