  The size of room was a lot bigger than expected. The staff were friendly, even though they dont speak a word of English. The location of the hotel was great, right in the middle of town which is peaceful and quiet. Breakfast was great as well with a good spread of breads, juices and ham. Will definitely recommend to anyone who are - We loved the town of Gengenbach. The bed was very comfortable, the staff was very nice. The breakfast was plentiful, with a lot of variety. There are many restaurants close by. Hiking in the black forest was wonderful. There are many trails heading right out of the town, at various locations. The konus railway card was a huge deal for us. We took 4 different day trips all over the Black Forest, for free, with this card, which you get when you check in.

  Friendly staff, parking lot is big enough for all guests, breakfast quality is good, room is clean and interior is superb. there is a beautiful garden too. - Excellent hotel, Good sized rooms,Excellent Menu for evening meal. Good breakfast spread. Ideal stop over when heading South or returning North.

  The lovely young woman running the hotel spoke very good english and was very helpful and always pleasant. The location of the hotel was lovely - close to town but in the countryside. The meals at the hotel were excellent. My husband and I would love to stay at Pfeffer & Salz again. - The breakfast was lovely with an excellent choice.
