Au Royal Mad - Foto
Cosa dice la gente
Unless you're staying in a 4 or 5 star hotel, the hotels in Paris are pretty much the same. Tiny rooms, high price. Au Royal Mad is a great place to stay if you're not interested in decor or extra amenities. I was in Paris to shop not to spend time in my hotel room! Rooms are clean (with daily maid service ) as is the shared bath. The rooms are relatively quiet. I stayed in Room 30 which had a nice few of Paris rooftops, gardens - and a cat who would perch on a 5th story window across the . tutti gli commenti dei clienti »
In terms of value for money, this hotel can't be beat! Just a
couple minutes walk from the Metro (Voltaire, the 9), and about 10 mins
from Bastille. Staff is kind and helpful, and facilities are pretty
decent considering the price. The WiFi connection (at least on the
first two floors) is excellent. There is a tv, a microwave, a fridge,
and a sink in the rooms. Bathrooms are sort of gross, as all shared
bathrooms are, but not as bad as many I've seen! The beds are
comfy, the place feels clean, .
The hotel is comfortable and clean. When I got there, the man in the
reception desk could speak English and gave me a good direction. The
shower in the first floor which I didn’t use, and each floor has a
shared toilet which just needs a few steps. The hotel is near the city
center and located on a street which has a lot of cloth shops. Not far
away from the hotel, you can see several supermarkets like LeaderPrice
or MonoPrix, and you could see a McDonald in about 200 meters away. City
trip wou.
We stayed in the hotel for 4 nights, the location was perfect - metro station 3min away and only 5min away from a big supermarket and restaurants. There is a fridge and microwave in every room, you also have an access to plates, cutlery, kettle etc. therefore it's really easy to make breakfast. The room was checked/cleaned every day and the fresh towels were given. Clean bathrooms and toilets with 24/7 hot water. Overall the experience was far better that I expected. The area is safe and mostly.
Good Location, 25 Miniutes Metro to Cite (the center of Paris) and winthin 30 miniutes you can reach almost all the main attractions; Helpful staff: with fluent English and are always helpful; Convenient: there is a shopping market within 10 miniutes walk where you can buy cheaper food and drinks; Fair Accommendation Condition: Microoven and a refrigerator are supplied and a water tap in the room.
This hotel is in a very good location, the room is warm and cosy, with
sink inside. There is a hot shower and toilet on each floor. The staff
are very helpful and kind, specially the handsome guy which stays during
the day (I guess he is the manager..). I highly recommend this hotel for
the price / benefits included. There is no breakfast available, but
there is fridge and microwave in the room.
This is a really good value budget hotel in a great location, literally two minutes from Voltaire Metro station. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms are very basic but also very clean with a very comfortable bed. The fridge and microwave came in handy as well. Shared bathroom facilities are also very clean. And the free wifi in the room was pretty fast and very reliable.
It's really suitable for travelers with budget, the rooms are equipped with sufficient facilities. The location is extremely convenient and is located in a safe neighborhood, it's only 5 minutes or less to Station Voltaire, or 10 to 15 minutes to Station Bastille, where you can reach popular locations such as the Louvre. I'd highly recommend this hotel to those who wants to save some money.
we stayed in a double room with shared bathroom. For the price we paid we couldn't ask for more! Comfortable room, with fridge and microwave (great if you want to eat in and save some money), clean, daily change of towels, no wait to use toilet/shower... was really surprised considering the price. the gentleman that received us when we arrived (around midnight) was very kind and helpful!.
Having observed prices in a lot of places in Paris, this hotel offers the
best value for money. If you are unpretentious and look only for place
to sleep after kilometers of walking in Paris, this is the best place to
stay.we have received room 24,it was just near the bathroom.there was no
queue anytime. The owner of the hotel is very nice man,who can help in
any situation!.
The hotel very clean, they cleaned the room every morning, I just want to say big thanks to Mouhamed and Kalifa they are the best staff in the hotel they helped lots.
The hotel very close to the metro station Bastille station. From gare du nord u take metro line 5 to Bastille 5 min walk or u take bus 69 to gombita about 4 bus stops u get of :).
The location is good. ½ block from the hotel is a major intersection with bars, restaurants, a food store and access to the subway. A 3.5 km walk to the Louvre, and from there you can head towards Place Concord and places beyond. Contrary to their reputation, without exception Every French person I met was polite and helpful.
The staff was very friendly when I arrived and during my stay. The Wifi was excellent, which was a big part of the reason I sought out a hotel with wifi in the rooms for an interview I had to conduct. The room was clean, the bed was large and comfortable, the microwave, refrigertor and sink were sparkling clean!.
Very clean and cozy and have all that you need in the room plus refrigerator and microwave!
Super market 4 minutes from the hotel, and 6 minutes from the metro station, easy to find.
Cafe and restaurants near to the hotel.
Very close to saint Antoni,Bastille and 30 minutes by foot to Mare 4th district.
The position is great. 200m from the Voltaire Metro station - from there you can cover Paris & beyond. The large supermarket (called Simply) is 300m away and the room has a fridge & microwave. The staff are very helpful and speak great English. It's all small, but had everything we needed.
- centrally located, many bars and bistros nearby,
- close to metro station,
- very clean room, every day new towels,
- well-equipped room: fridge, microwave, TV and a sink (shower and toilet outside),
- kind and polite staff (although non-English speaking),
- free Wi-Fi available in all rooms.
Personnel is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are very small and with simple furniture, but given it's Paris and given the price it's OK. The room was clean, the common bathroom also. You walk 3 minutes to the metro Voltaire. I really cannot complain, for that price I found what I expected.
They had the friendliest staff I've ever interacted with, and were
quite cheap considering what you get in the room. We also had to borrow
a few supplies to enjoy some wine, and they didn't nickle and dime
us whatsoever about it. That's more than I can say for everywhere
else in Europe!.
Was clean and decent for amount paid. Not hotel accommodation type, more in the stile of a student hall of residence, but clean and staff friendly. Shared bathroom with two other rooms so not bad and bathroom on my level so not far (not sure for other rooms on other floors though).
- The location was great, right by a metro station so easy access to everything.
- Fridge and microwave in room and a Carrefour just 5 minutes away.
- Arrived at 7 in the morning and were able to get into room.
- Staff very nice.
- Great cleanliness, fresh towels every day.
The staff were very friendly, the room was clean and simple. There are plenty nearby restaurants, shops etc and it is close to the metro. I liked having the fridge, microwave and TV in the room. The room was also cleaned and fresh towels put out each day. Great budget hotel.
- Good price
- Very friendly and helpful staff
- Have shared small kitchen in the reception floor, with microwave oven
- Close to Metro; but a bit far from Lyon Station if you have heavy luggages.
- Relatively safe area, and have resturants nearby.
The building was really nice and new so was the neighbourhood. The rooms wasnt big but enough for two people. We had a view to a nice street. Lot of cafés bars nearby. The merto station is 200m away. Staff spoke english and was very helfpful.
It was clean and there was a refrigerator and microwave in the room. The heating was good and the service of staff when checking in and out was great. I think it is a good value for money. It was a short walk to the metro and restaurants.
Location is good, nearest station metro Volter after the corner. Many caffies, stores, china bistros are very closely.Room was cleaned every day, towels were changed every day, doosh and toilet out the room were clean and available constatly.
very near to metro station (Voltaire) exit 6 (escalator), microwave, big fridge, sink in the room (important for shared bathroom room), comfy bed, can drink tap water (the owner said Paris water is clean), good price, good wifi signal.
staff was kind and helped me on my luggage to bring upstairs, one of them understand English well enough, and he helped me on finding my way in the city by giving me a city map and describing the way! a direct bus to gare du nord.
Very friendly and helpful manager, who was keen to find me a quiet room as requested.Noise in an adjacent room was quickly sorted out by a member of staff.Bed quite comfortable. Helpful to have microwave and fridge in room.
The metro station is very near. 3 mins walking to Voltaire metro station. Near to halal restaurant (Turkey restaurant) for muslims. There are microwave & fridge in the room (double bed, separate shower & toilet).
It was all superb! The hotel's staff are super friendly and very eager to help you with all your enquiries! The place is super clean (very thorough everyday service). I'd stay there again in a blink of an eye!.
the staff was really nice
and the room also clean and convenient there is a microwave in the room and the refrigrator in the room i love it
i'd like to choose it again if i go Paris again )).
Microwave, near two subway lines, the street is quiet enough. Is not such a small room, especially when compared to other hotels we have stayed at before in Paris. And of course the price.
It is right on the beach and a short walk to most things in the village. The room was well decorated compared with the other bargain motels. In October it was very quiet and peaceful.
Fully equipped kitchen, location (Bastille is a very good place to stay in Paris).
We had room on 6 floor. The room was cozy and we could observe the usual Parisian night life :).
It is few meters from the Voltaire metro station making it easy for travelers to go around Paris. the room that I got was also very clean. The hotel's wifi also worked well.
Staff friendly and helpful. Very clean. Close to metro station ( 1 minute to Voltaire and 5 to Bastille). Location is nice, 10 minutes walk from St-Antoine/Rivoli street.
The location was excellent. Considering the cost of Paris, it is value
for money. The staff were very friendly and recommended where the
cheapest supermarket was to use.
near the metro line 9 voltaire station. easy to go anywhere in the city.
the staff is nice and you can keep you luggage in the hotel even after you check out.
Staff were extremely helpful and very friendly, it was a good experience staying with them as the rooms are also very clean and it is great value for money.
Very close to the Bastille Square and two metro stations. Friendly staff, clean, adequate facilities. Don't expect anything fancy but it's value for money.
This hotel is really close to a few different metro stations so quite easy to travel from, the bed was comfortable and room was clean, I would stay again.
Very well located and close to the metro station. Small but clean room, very nice staff. Perferct for a quick stay to go around Paris, with low budget.
In general I was very pleased
I found it very convenient and useful to have a refrigerator and a microwave in the room..I like it very much.
Very clean hotel and extremely friendly staff! Plus the location is super good, cheap eating places, bars, secondhand shops nearby etc.
Cheap, quiet, close to all kind of services and transportations. Friendly staff, essential but clean rooms, cleaned up every morning.
It is very near to the metro station of line 9, less than 5 minutes.
They clean the room very day and the staff are very kind.
Friendly Staff.
Close to métro and Velib' bicycle station, and local businesses.
Clean room, hallways, and bathrooms.
+Good location (McD. and Metro are near the Hotel)
+20 minute walk to the center (Hotel de Vile)
+Nice and clean room.
Superb cost-benefit relation, and the service is awesome. Near the metro and is located in a good location (11eme).
second time in there,,,just perfect,
great price, nice people, very safe area and close volatire subwaystation....
The bathrooms/showers could have been a bit cleaner - it didn't
look like they were cleaned at all in the two days I was there.
First of all, some of the staff can only speak French.
And when you are facing the window near the road, the motorcycle noise is too loud.
Because of the thin wall, you can hear the water flowing if the one lived next your room is using his or her tap.
There is no rubbish bin in the toilet, and sometimes it is not convenient.
The only problem you may have is the staircase as some of the rooms are located on the 6th floor with no lift, but bare in mind the staff are always happy to help with your luggage.
Shared washing room, toilets which seem to be not that convenient (fair enough given the price and location actually); not good acoustic partition: some time it could be really noisy.
The room was very hot - it would have been good to have been able to lower or even switch off the heating but that was easily solved by leaving the windows slightly open.
Too many stairs.
You must take into account, that there is no elevator and if your luggage
is heavy, don't ask for top floor.there are no slippers in the room.
No stairs :).
Walls were very thin and you hear everything. I was on the 2nd floor, which definitely had simething to do with it.
- terrible noise of slamming doors - impossible to sleep since 6-7 am, you have to use earplugs!
- non-English speaking staff: only one out of 4 receptionists spoke English,
- uneducated staff, didn't know how to issue an invoice...
- only French channels on TV.
be aware that it's a 6-floor hotel with no lift. So be sure that you bring a light baggage with you ;)
The doors are very thin - so when the concierge wakes up the guest in the next room at 5 am, you will also wake up... And: the doors close automatically every time with some noise, you will hear it every time when your neighbours walk up and down the corridor to the bathroom.
Lots and lots of stairs.
- Beds and pillow uncomfortable, but at this price didnt really let it bother us too much.
I was awoken a couple of times by doors shutting but I feel the good qualities of the hotel far outweigh this.
- Unstable Wifi
- No lift, and steepy stair.
Maybe a little bit far from the centre, you have to use the subway.
It was a bit noise and the bed was very hard.
Some noisy from stear, especially at nights, when people climb up.Hotel has not lift, there for some hard to live in the hirest floors.
no lift, steep stairs.
narrow stairs,.
Nothing.
No kettle,spoon and bowl provided.
Audibility, especially when people come back at night and climb up the steep narrow stairs up :)
In the sink, which is located in the room periodically bubbling water.
Not quite comfortable, the shower and toilets on different floors.
No coffee maker in the room though there was a fridge and microwave.
We had room on 6 floor - there was no lift (but we have been asked previously whether we do not mind).
Where our room was we were at the reception so did tend to be quite
noisy in the morning but nothing during the night.
only one bathroom for shower in the fifth floor.
There really is little to complain about but a lamp in the room would have been appreciated.
It wasn't the world's most comfortable beds. Many stairs. Lots of noise from other guests.
The shower I used (downstairs) could do with an upgrade as the water doesn't come out well but everything else was fine.
Small room and no lift. Can be noisy depending on the side of your bedroon. No air conditioning and only one bathroom per floor,.
Technical problem in the toilet caused water on the floor, but I guess it was just a temporary problem.
The bathroom and toilet are shared by a lot of guests and they are at
the corner of stairs.
No elivator, shower cuts out every thirty seconds, near by construction, paper thin walls so you hear other guests coming and going, needs repair, and refurbishing.
One little piece of soap and one towel per day, one plastic cup entire stay, refrigerator smelt like French cheese.
-thin wall in the Hotel
-without a lift.
Maybe the neighborhood is too full of wholesale fashion shops, and this makes the street a bit noisy during the day.
no negative comments.
