This was one of the most interesting hotels we experienced in the
Luberon, a fascinating area of Provence. Our room, up ancient, worn,
stone steps to the top of the building, was more like a suite, with a
modern, stylish, and spacious bathroom with a shower on one level, a
large comfortable bed on another, and a staircase featuring incredible
curved woodwork leading to an airy sitting room where one could look out
over the village and wheat fields and see and hear the swifts chasing
insects for. tutti gli commenti dei clienti »
The hotel is set in a small typical Provençale village, and is set in a
lovely old charming building. Parking isn't easy but there are
always places to be found a short walk away. Our room was at the top,
accessed by a quaint well-worn stone stairway. (No lift, which was not a
problem to us) The staff and proprietor are very friendly and helpful.
Our room was delightful. Large and airy with a small rooftop terrace,
where we looked out over the church to the left and the hills of the
Grand Luber.
There are a lot of things to mention. First of all, the room is big, quiet, clean and comfortable. Staff are friendly, although the owner of the hotel part is not always reachable...
The best part we found is the restaurant. We had 2 dinners there and chose different menus. They are all good, especially the desert! One of the best restaurant we had during our vacation in Provence. I would recommend this hotel/restaurant to anybody.
The rooms were very fresh and had fine decor and very smart design. The host and staff could not be more friendly or helpful. The food was creative and wonderful. The location in the town is central while still being quiet. All in all, a splendid place to stay, and one I would return to without hesitation.
Despite a hiccup with check in, the manager was accommodating. He upgraded us to the top room which is lovely with a terrace overlooking the picturesque village. The bed is comfortable and room is very clean. The village is small and a car is definitely required, but would recommend staying here.
Great room overlooking the village square (room 4). Awesome little
village, a real gem away from hustle and bustle of some of the
surrounding villages which are overpopulated with tour buses and camper
vans. Restaraunt was a food experience we won't forget - our best
meal in France.
The hotel was wonderful! The owner was expetionally nice and welcoming. Dinner at the restaurant was out of this world (especially the foie gras). The room was clean, bright, and modern and a great place to use as a "home base" for travelling around Luberon.
The village of Cabrieres is very tiny. The hotel is located in the center of the village. The restaurant is quite good. We had dinner there twice. Service is a bit slow but there's no hurry in this village.
The hotel is basic but updated and comfortable.
I really liked the small village (only 600 people) where Le Vieux Bistrot was located. Very peaceful and romantic place. The room was quite spacious and comfortable. The restaurant downstairs was excellent - great atmosphere and gourmet food.
A charming small hotel in a quiet village. Had a lovely room with rooftop terraces with views of countryside and village church. Owners were very friendly and helpful accommodating. Good restaurant .
Very pretty village.Lovely room with terrace, very charming. Also the swimming pool was wonderful, 10 minute walk from main part of hotel.
Country location--quiet; great food; friendly owner & staff; easy access to other towns & attractions in Provence.
Great old building. Setting for dinner was lovely. Definitely use the pool it is amazing. Dinner was fantastic.
Nice village location
Good restaurant & food options
Comprehensive wine list
Very friendly hosts and staff.
Excellent facility with superb views, warm reception, friendly staff, outstanding food.
Everything was amazing: the room was gorgeous and hotel was so charming and lovely.
Proprietor s friendliness location terrace with the room.
Everything! Food, service, accomodation was exceptional.
Authentic and honest approach.
Good location for visiting Provence villages and countryside. Excellent food and ambiance in the restaurant.
- beautiful and clean room.
Parking on the street is a little tight, but it's a small quiet
town so you can always find a spot somewhere. If you check-in much
before 7 pm, the restaurant may be closed, so you have to go around the
corner to buzz the owner, an engaging, energetic young guy who speaks
English well. Overall, we found the building's charm well worth the
extra effort.
Wifi was intermittent and difficult to access in any area.
The check-in time is a bit strict, not so convenient.
Parking can be a bit challenging, but that's not the fault of the property, it's a function of being in the center of a small village...call it part of the charm.
We only had one night there.
Not much in the way of services but that didn't matter to me but may to others.
I had a room just above the restaurant (Chez Nous) and there is very poor sound isolation. So if the guests were loud, you could hear almost every word. And in addition, from the garden place the music came in. So, if you want to go to sleep before midnight, you are at the mercy of things going on in the restaurant.
Breakfast was not good. Better to have none at all. Should be pointed out on the web site that the pool is a small drive away. Host did not give us clear instructions for the pool but se found it and loved it.
the hotel closes between 13:00 and 18:00. So we arrived at 15:00 and had to wait 3 hours in order to check in. they said that they send an email to notify the customers howeve, we didn't get any.
You should explain on the site that the hotel is made of 3 different
parts, the swimming pool being not on the main part but farther out of
the village.
We didnt spend more time there.
Parking in the village.
Nothing.
Non-availability of reception staff. Don't expect to get a good nights sleep if you have a room above the bar!.
- misleading, there is no pool or terrace at the hotel (1km travelling)!.
