The kitchen was reasonably well equipped and we were able to cook breakfast and a simple meal while we were there.   Hotel is right on the pebble beach (didn't see any sand beaches whilst in Croatia). Excellent breakfast (included in room rate) served on covered terrace overlooking beach. The owner was very eager to please and did not charge us for lunch because of a mix-up with our reservation.
