Located next to the mountains, Yao Quan Hill features a 500-acre garden with Tibetan-style villas. It has medicinal herbal plants, a wild animal domestication base and a cold water fish breeding base. Free Wi-Fi is available in all areas.
Yao Quan Hill is a 1.5-hour drive from Huanglong and Jiuzhaigou. Ruoergai Marsh is about 2 hours’ drive away. It is also a 10-minute drive from Jiuzhai Huanglong Airport.
Offering mountain views or lake views, all rooms come with a writing desk, a cable TV and an electric kettle. The private bathroom has a hairdryer, shower facilities and free toiletries. Some units have a hot tub.
The property has a tour desk which offers ticketing services and helps guests organise excursions. After a long journey, relaxing in the garden or drinking a cup of tea on the terrace is also a nice choice. Guests can also play table tennis, entertain themselves in the games room or sing at a karaoke night. Laundry, dry cleaning, as well as fax and photocopying can be found at the 24-hour reception. The convenient location near the airport.
The room was reasonably clean.
The hotel was under some renovations, and the hallway was really messy. There were open doors, which made it feel unsecure. The bathroom was not too clean, with hair on the floor when we arrived. Also the hotel room was really cold with only one space heater for the whole room. The restaurant did not have an English menu. Very disappointed! We paid more than USD$160 for a night at this 1-2 star lodge. The room is small and has an old fashion squat toilet/shower combination. The glass door to the balcony did not close tight and left a large opening. The service was below average and the breakfast included in the price was minimal. The lodge is away from rest of the town. Make sure you already had your meal before check-in. Otherwise, instant noodle would be your only choice.
