  Definitely the hospitality (of all the staff)! It was like having an extended family - everyone was so helpful, caring and friendly. Loved the quaintness of the rooms! We overlooked the park across the street - great view. Location is fantastic!   The Chateau Laurier is a lovely clean hotel and very close to the Old City. The room was nice and roomy and the staff were excellent, polite and helpful. This hotel would be perfect for those traveling with children. We had a great stay!

  The staff were very helpful with any number of things; aiding with parking a vehicle, expediting check-in/check-out procedures, and recommending great restaurants and attractions in the area. The hotel lobby and common areas were very tastefully decorated and the rooms were comfortable, although a bit small and some areas seemed a bit dingy. The loc - We got one of the 5th floor rooms, which meant it was really quiet. It also meant 5 flights of narrow stairs. Of course, since it's a historical building (like much of Quebec City) building codes prevent the addition of elevators, so this is par for the course. Beautifully reno'd room and bathroom, though the ceiling was a bit low due to the angle of the roof. Close to lots of nearby shopping and restaurants in the old city (and the lower old city, too, which was a bit cheaper).

They were very courteous, attended to our requests, always willing to give us information and assistance with directions, restaurants, etc. The location was the best--- right in the heart of the old city.
