I actually booked this lodge thinking it was close to the highway through Clearwater, but turned out it was 34km off the track. However, it is a lovely spot, and the wonderful chalet room we had with a verandah more than compensated fir the short detour. A real find.

We can recommand this place as stopover between Vancouver and the Rocky Mountains and as starting point for visiting the Wells Gray Park. The guest house is clean an quiet an well equipped for backpackers and budget travellers. -
The location and facilities were wonderful. It was nice to have a quiet, restful sleep in such peaceful surroundings.

A lovely welcome and really helpfull owner. The accommodation is quirky and fun. Kitchen decor in 'diner' style, sofa in kitchen/living area for TV watching, nice to have a PC provided. Comfy bed and lovely bathroom. Loved raiding the fridge for breakfast, a 'help yourself' arrangement ready to set you up for the day. Would recommend as a stopover

Friendly, helpful host. We were informed that the salmon were swimming upstream at Bailey's Chute. So we went and were amazed at the effort of the fish. Doris was a fantastic hostess& welcomed us into her home. Room was impeccably clean with fresh flowers for anniversary celebration. Close to town within delightful neighbourhood safe for after dinner stroll. Breakfast was fresh fruit berries,with fresh eggs & toast. Excellent stay.
