  The location was fabulous and the Lodge was great. We stayed in a loft with kitchenette and the views from the balcony were amazing. The bar was good and the food was nice, the accommodations were comfortable and quiet. Underground car park was great and included in price. Indoor parking with easy access to room by elevator. Good restaurant, open quite late even mid-week. Mid-week rates very good value. Cosy, comfortable lobby.   We love what Douglas Fir has to offer our two Granddaughters in terms of facilities(the pool, hot tub and play park). We had a one bedroom chalet which was perfect for us and Douglas Fir provided a playpen and highchair, which meant we did not have to pack them in the car. We love seeing the wildl - The Waterslides and Indoor Playground were BIG hits with the kids!! The fireplace and free wood were most welcome. The surprisingly convenient and well-stocked store on site was also a welcome convenience. The full kitchen and nearby parking were very handy. The location is far enough from town that it is quiet at night, but a close bus ride, short drive, or half hour walk away from the Resort.

  Everything. This was a luxury hotel at a moderate price. Room was large and spacious. It had a soaker tub and separate shower. Bed was so comfortable. It had a pool/Jacuzzi/steam room. It was a short walk (1/2 - 1 mile) to downtown but far enough away from the noise and crowds of downtown shoppers. Complimentary breakfast was good. We were on the 2nd floor and the floors felt heated, not sure if it was from rooms below or actual floor heating. The bathroom is huge, separate tub from glass shower. Thank you to the staff at Charleton Cedar Court.
