  Very clean and organized. Staff extremely helpful and kind! Front desk people spoke perfect English. Tours and directions readily available. Also a great location!! I would enthusiastically recommend this hostel!

  We booked this hostel because it was the cheapest we could find and didn't really expect much. BUT this was our best stay so far, Louis is extremely friendly and helpful, we felt at home at his hostel and if we didn't have a flight to Belem, we would have stayed longer. The rooms are basic, it's a hostel for travelers, not a hotel, but clean and cosy. W - Great hostel with a very civilized atmosphere and very helpful staff. Some only speak portugese, but they try everything to help you. Louis, the owner, is a great guy, very knowledgable, speaks many languages and goes out of his way to make your stay in Rio the best possible. Depending on what is on, he might take you to a club or spend a sunday at the beach with the whole hostel.
