  It's basically a nice hotel with nice staff, clean rooms, finebreakfast, etc.Also, the 13 minutes walk up to Avenida Paulista seemssafe till late at night, as it is packed with bars and (cheaper)restaurants. At arriving at the hotel you are asked by an unfriendly porter to pay in advance for the whole stay. The room does not offer much confort - you find not a proper place to put your laptop, you find nothing to drink in the fridge apart from water and coca cola, etc. etc.

  We have stayed at L'hotel several times. It is a friendly place to return to - also very clean and posh. I had requested a room with a modern toilet, they gave us one with a balcony which was almost a mini-garden! - The bed was fabulous, big and comfortable.
