Our car had broken down just outside Newcastle (had to be towed) causing us to be late arriving at Hotel, with only 1/2 hour for a quick change to attend a family wedding. Staff were fantastic making checkin QUICK, and booking a taxi to get us to the church on time!! Room was lovely, but unfortunately we didn't have time to enjoy & relax. Location great, we did enjoy a walk to beach on Sunday morning.

Decent size coffee mugs in addition to the normal small cups. 4. Room was a decent size and well decorated and well lit with both natural light and light fittings. 5. The balcony was excellent, private and with an ocean view. 6. Short distance from the beach. The Staff where very helpfull, Rooms a great size and i had a good view out towards the stockton beach even though i was on the 3rd floor room 317. which was a bonus i didnt expect. The bed was so comfy I had breakfast in my room the big breakfast was actually big, although late they called to tell me so was not a problem. and were very apollegtic. All the staff were wonderfull. We upgraded our room & ther manner in which it was manged was excellent. Front desk staff were always warm, friendly and helpful. I would give all staff (not just front desk) 5 Stars. The way we were treated was MUCH appreciated. This was our first stay at the NOVOTEL Newcastle Beach, we found the room spacious and clean, we attended the Newcastle Cup and then hung around the area of the Hotel for our drinks and food, great location, thank you. Modern Facilities. Very friendly staff. All foxtel sports channels! (Unlike some other hotels we have stayed at recently.). Very clean, comfortable bed, obliging, friendly, helpful staff which is any organisation's greatest asset!. . Special pillow offer . room comfortable and excellent condition . good room size . excellent bed. A good sized room, new and tidy bathroom and a large bed, generally clean and tidy. The staff were professional, helpful and friendly. Fantastic location also. The location and its access to Newcastle Beach and the harbour environs. Excellent facilities n service with low price... Strongly recommended. It was a whole new experience for me. I had a lovely time. Beds really comfortable Rooms are modern and look great!. The size of the room was very generous. Room size, breakfast, quiet was lovely. Location Helpful Staff Spacious Room. My overnight stay was faultless. The view and bed was amazing. The info in rooms needs updating, The charges for carparking are $18 per night not $15 self park or $20 vallet as suggested in the leaflets in room Also the Relax leaflet suggest to ring 9 (the front desk) for a full list of massarge avalible however when you ring that number your told that they dont have a massuse on site but there is a number for one that other guest have used in the room,( not that i could find!). Harbour view was very much in the distance!. Quite expensive and disappointed we were still charged for a trundle bed that wasn't used. . No free wi-fi in the room . promised paper not delivered . male wait staff member at breakfast had no idea about coffee and the one he made was undrinkable (remedied by another staff member); and he tried to talk us out of making a special egg order (remedied by the chef) . breakfast buffet adequate but fairly basic. Worn out and/or stained chair in the room. The fact that our first room's hand basin did not drain. The manager (James Clark) dealt with the problem promptly and relocated us to a better room. Paying for parking. Price....paying 5 star price for 4. No pool Odd business decor Shower pressure. Didnt like the very few foxtel channels Lack of mirrors in the room. No beach views from room even though requested. nothing really. That the parking underground wasnt complementary. We were made to stay on the same level of the conference rooms that were hosting a wedding. The bass from the music played very late into the evening. Not exactly a good nights sleep. Nothing. The bathroom lighting poor. The street light kept myself and husband awake, even though the curtains were drawn (they didn't fit correctly). The bedding was too hot. limited parking. Paid $18 to park and no spots to park in. only one lounge chair. Air conditioner in the room did not function properly and the room heated up very quickly during the day. It seemed that the wall controller tripped off when the temperature reached 21 C. Not a real family holiday hotel, better suited towards business people and functions. Bit sterile and cold in it's atmosphere. Was not user friendly as far as parking- no signs to indicate where the lifts where when you parked. Exiting rm in the morning to large closed fire door and unsure whether it was to opened or not. A little more signage would be helpful. Check in time at 2.00pm is rather too late. flies in restuarant worst ham and cheese sandwich I have ever had the misfortune to (partially) eat.
