  I stayed with my boyfriend at one of the apartments for 3 nights after travelling in California for a week and staying at hotels. We wanted to be able to prepare our own meals, so we looked for places with a kitchen. There was absolutely no place with kitchen for hundreds of miles around, so we decided to try Quail Hollow.   We had a large comfortable room near the swimming pool. The huge bed was very comfortable and we slept well. A fridge, microwave and coffee maker were useful. The motel was clean and the young staff friendly and hard working. The breakfast which we went to reception to collect each morning was simple but got us going for the day. Sonora is a great small town but still has many amentities so we were able to find a good restaurant to eat at after a long day in Yosemite. Sonora Inn is quiet, comfortable and clean, which is all we needed. I would stay here again if in the area. Nice hotel staff and they offer a small hot breakfast.

We spent one day just reading and relaxing poolside. The hotel was centrally located and we never lacked for things to do. We saw a musical in Columbia, rode the train in Jamestown, and went antique shopping in downtown Sonora. It was a great vacation!

  The Motel was very, very clean, the bed was clean and comfortable and the staff was very kind and helpful. We have stayed in this motel several times but just were exceptionally happy with it this time.....and plan on staying there again as soon as we can. When we arrived it looked as if we were the only family staying there (only 1 car in the parking lot), but after 1 hour (so later in the evening) a lot of others came. It is quite far from Yosemite, but most of the hotels are that far, so it was a very good option. Spacious rooms.

  The staff at the Gold Lodge were the greatest. Always cheerful and helpful. Even potential renovation detractions were handled so the customer was never inconvenienced. Beautiful location also. - The price and location of what we needed. Staff was courtesy and prompt and explained they are getting ready for upgrading/remodeling. Friendly staff
