Shelter Island and the Pridwin were exactly what we expected and wanted
for our first vacation in almost 7 years. The hotel is not what one
would call luxurious or fancy, but the perfect picture of a quaint,
comfortable vacation destination. The staff were really friendly and

The complimentary breakfast buffet was ample and delicious. -
I liked the location, the various pretty settings indoors and out with magnificent views of the water, great landscaping, spacious lawns, a secluded pool, and amenities such as bikes and canoes.

The Greenporter is a retro styled hotel and works very well as exactly
that. It doesn't pretend to be a luxury hotel and doesn't charge
as one. We liked it a lot. It also has an extremely good chef, my wife
rated one of the dishes she ate as the best she'd ever eaten, and
she is not given to overstatement. It's very well situated to

I would comfortably recommend it to anyone, but would also suggest they
don't use Hoppy's Cl -
The room its own AC unit and fridge both essential during the hot spell. The cleaning staff were thorough and extremely helpful. Swimming pool small but nice and very quiet.
The hotel is ideally located for walking into the town which has an abundance of nice bars and restaurants.
